The upper market share, I meant
Fitbits are smartwatches? They call itself the Blaze a Fitness Watch.
Yes, but other smartwatches aren't made by Apple, which instantly makes them superior to the Apple Watch- at least to many people on these forums.Uhm, I didn't buy other smartwatches. I'm saying I'm 100% satisfied with MY purchase, and didn't say a thing about any other brand. Also, please cite the competing watch which will unlock a Mac running Sierra out of the box?
I think there was a lot of hype for the Apple watch as a fashion item, and when it finally launched as a less than fashionable smart watch, there was a collective groan.
Just like the pent up demand for larger iPhones, people wont shut up about it until Apple offers a round smartwatch
One thing I don't get: Watch has 852 and 5 stars and Samsung has 842 and 2 stars. Yet, LG has 827 and also 2 stars.
This seems odd, unless I'm missing something.
A lot of "industry survey" pools are very political involving who and who not to invite to the party. Pebble is an upstart and may not have lauded the survey company with the right salutations to be listed. My spider sense is tingling about that too. I think it's because of the way they worded the question (deliberately or not) - "Smart Phones purchased in the last year". The majority of Pebble owners would have purchased over a year ago, so are eliminated from sharing their satisfaction. Sneaky, maybe.
Samsung doesn't tell us Galaxy S7 or Note 5 sales. Therefore they are dismal. Same for S6, S5 and Note 3. All dismal sales.
From looking at the scores, it seems like all watches are rated more or less the same. I don't understand why a with with a rating of 5 points above the average (on a 1000-point scale) is rated 5 starts and a watch of 5 points below the average only gets 2 stars. Not to mention that the 2-star device is actually second in consumer satisfaction. Something here is really weird here. Its like, 'A is 2mm higher then the average, so her is REALLY TALL and B is 2mm shorter, so he is a TINY PERSON'.
I think the folks who were really dissatisfied returned their purchase within the return window already. It's the most expensive. Owners can't afford embarrassing themselves by admitting dissatisfaction
I'm wondering what the standard deviation is per model's scores.
It doesn't matter how much they sold. It's the personal user satisfaction that counts and I'm very satisfied with it.
Yes, 3 stars for Samsung and LG.
But seriously folks: Who cares?
Those who have any of these watches and like them are fine and those
who don't care about an aWatch are fine also.
Great to be alive.
All well and good, but who's buying these watches? Tim Cook won't tell us, so you can be sure that sales are dismal, otherwise he would trumpet them to the heavens.
And separating them from fitness bands seems pretty silly, as they overlap so much. The market for the Apple Watch basically consists of those who want a fitness band and those who want notifications.
A satisfied customer is all very well, but if there are only a ragged band of the faithful few, then the watch will flop, I'm afraid to say.
And all those smart watches cost relatively the same and have the same features. Right?
Otherwise it would be like saying Ford festa owners are more satisfied in their cars than Tesla p85d owners.
But isn't happening. No, you aren't "afraid to say it," it's what you've been actively rooting for.
Woah... there is a significant difference between Apple and everyone else, yet the average would imply that Apple's share also equals all the others combined too. I've very happy with mine and wear it daily since I got it.
yes, but they only wear the dress once
but yeah, the article is misleading and the logic behind JD Powers statements is.... questionable. There's not much wrong with the Apple watch, I would expect users to overall be satisfied with it.
but the survey results show that pretty much everyone is close to equally happy with their watches, with Apple watch having a very slim lead (and that can also be attributed to other things besides purely the watch, like brand power and recognition that Apple has most other companies don't).
I believe sure, the Apple watch users love their watch. But how the hell did JD Power jump to conclusion that the near closness of the results puts the Apple Watch at a 5star but the closest alternative at 2star? this REEKS of Apple marketting influence especially since the Sales of the watch (Extrapolated over the last two quarters financials) have taken a serious dive after initial launch and is not the hot seller_
That's like saying. Oh i just bought a new car, but I just got sweet wheels for the car. I'm so addicted to the wheels that the wheels now cost more than what I paid for the car...
I don't care, was just wondering about the minor difference in the numbers but major difference in the stars/circles (That has been answered (Answer: they are not related)). Making my brain understand, that I do care about!
And? Someone states something that could be taken as negative about the AW and the first thing you do is point fingers?
Wow.
One thing I don't get: Watch has 852 and 5 stars and Samsung has 842 and 2 stars. Yet, LG has 827 and also 2 stars.

Yes, but this will not happen this year, if we believe the rumors. Now all Apple need to do is make an iPhone worth buying.
Seems bogus. No Pebble results.![]()
