Out of curiosity, where are you located? That could have a big impact on the delay for shipping time.

W53 - 42 Black SS w/ Black Sport Band. Ordered right at presale launch with 16 Sep delivery. Still preparing for shipment, not yet charged, and no action on UPS MyChoice or Track by Reference. Really hoping I didn't stay up that late last week to get bumped back.

And still no change today. Maybe Tim is just hiding in my bushes to surprise me tomorrow.

I live in Munich, package was sent from Prague.

Anybody had luck contacting Apple and inquiring about a delivery estimate on their Apple Watch, like some have for the iPhone, and had their delivery date change for the better?

If not I'll try that this evening and report back. It's worth a shot.

It might be a western USA thing. And maybe, just maybe, they are shipping some regions via USPS or FedEx.

I ordered on Sep 9 at 12:05 PT and was scheduled for Sep 26-28 and 6-8 business days. Apple Watch 2 42mm Gold Aluminum. Called Apple today and got to speak to an agent after only 5 minutes on hold. They moved me up to delivery Sep 22 and 2-3 business days. Progress ......... I hope

I contacted Apple and was told that if I attempted to change from standard to expedited shipping, there was a chance

When I called they told me that attempting to switch my delivery from standard to expedited could actually delay shipment, but that it will most likely ship tomorrow and come by the 22nd anyway.

I also pre-ordered an iPhone 7+ Matte Black, 128GB from TMobile. I can't imagine Apple would ship my iPhone I ordered from TMobile along with my watch.

My watch weight is .80kg.. so possible it could be your phone and watch.

It actually seems likely. The iPhone seems to be shipping at .8kg. That's about a pound and a half.
