Apple Watch Series 3 Nike+ Cellular Pre-Order Thread

I ordered mine right after the pre-order period and I have a delivery date for tomorrow (Oct 5) but I am starting to get a bit concerned as it still says "Preparing for Shipment" and its already 1:51pm here... though I am not all that far from Louisville, KY (I'm in Hopkinsville, KY) so perhaps that could be why. I still have the first Apple Watch they released so I'm hoping it will be a pretty huge upgrade for me.

Well Apple did not show store inventory for the Series 3 Watches last month but many stores had inventory for walk-ins.

If you don't get lucky at Midnight, you might consider stopping by a retail location tomorrow or watching the forum for posts tomorrow morning with reports of finding stores with inventory before you head to the store.

Having watched other watches on iStocknow.com the past few days it seems like watches only becomes orderable for in-store pickup at or around when the store opens. (~8am). The AW3 wasn't available for pickup on launch day, but I don't know if they'll restrict just the Nike tomorrow. On the other hand it looks like all the other watches have been set to a Nov 8 in-store pickup when they've had same-day-if-available earlier this week.
 
Had the delivery date of Oct 5th for two watches and have been tracking fine until today. UPS tracking just changed to delivery on the 6th. :(

Mine did too and my reaction was WTF. It seemed to be only temporary (hopefully!), tho. I refreshed the tracking info and it went back to the 5th.

Yes the resale value drops significantly for SS as I had series 0 aluminum and my brother had SS series 0. I sold mine for $150 while he was getting offers for $175-$200. So that is why for me it’s not a good idea to buy SS although SS looks cool and is better.

So if one was to buy the stainless steel, one shouldn’t go into buying it with the intentions of selling it for close to retail or a good portion for you to upgrade

Even if both watches were zero in resale price it would be worth it to me. I buy the SS version because I love wearing it every single day. And every single day it looks stunning and just feels better in my mind

I’ve thought about getting the stainless steel one but for me it’s just not worth the extra 200 dollars . I work for deer park water. And that’s too much of a purchase to be doing laboring work! If I worked in an office! I would buy it lol ...


I wish apple would put the sapphire glass on the sport editions! Especially the Nike one at least! Any reason as to why they don’t

I work at an office and for me i think it’s not worth it to spend extra $200 on it. That is why I opted for Nike Apple Watch.

IS it worth it? No! But it’s something about that stainless steel when you get a nice looking leather band ! Just sets IT off ever so nicely lol

This. Buy these for the enjoyment / utility you get from them, knowing they have a limited value lifespan.

Well, that was weird. I was just a Target on State Street in Chicago looking at the Apple Watches and they had a 38mm silver aluminum Nike (Series 3) available (GPS only). I would have bought it but it was the pure platinum sport band and I want the loop...

It was in a black box, not the white box like the other AWs.

ok so now it's changed to preparing to ship and it's gonna be here tomorrow :eek:
