Yes but that is often the case. The first wave of Watches for the USA are on UPS 81 which is about to land in Anchorage in the next 20 minutes.

Yea but I shouldn't I have have a departure scan if I was on that flight today....No?

Mine is relaxing in Shanghai too. Look on the bright side...a bunch of you will be enjoying your new Apple Nike+ Watch by Thursday evening. Me, on the other hand, well...mine will be delivered this Thursday, but I’m taking off on a 17-day trip on Thursday so mine will remain boxed until at least October 21st.

Have you considered holding and picking up your watch early Thursday morning before your trip? Or reschedule the delivery to your destination?

i also want the stainless steel but the thing is after 2 years when its time to sell, the price difference between aluminum and stainless steel is like 50$.

Yep. I struggle with the same thing. SS definitely has higher absolute depreciation. Debating whether the durability is worth it or not. My AW2 Nike+ has a couple dings to the casing and edge scratch on the glass. $70 to swap it on AC+ either for me or for whomever buys it; affects resale. With SBSS? What is the personal value of having the SBSS over Al for the year or two of ownership and how's it compare to the depreciation difference? Dunno.

Really though I ponder how much I would miss the Nike faces and enhanced integration. While I like the Nike digital face (really my favorite), I wonder how much I'd miss it. What I really need to do is make some time to really play around with the SBSS in person a while to see how much I like it.

Thank you for the good ideas, but I will be in the wild for the next couple of weeks living off limited battery power and with little to no connectivity, so taking a brand new watch with me (and trying to set it up) is unfortunately a no go.

So I’m just curious the resell value drops for the stainless steel version ? I’ve noticed people on Craigslist, letgo, and offer up usually want close to full price for their staInless steel AW. And for that price point people always say they can just buy a brand new one with one year warranty and such.

My two watches are in Osaka too. I’ve been looking on Flight Aware to see what UPS flight they were on to Osaka so that I can figure out where their next stop. The time zone/date line thing really makes things interesting. Since UPS is not updating in real time, we probably won’t see an accurate scan until later this evening or tonight when they arrive in Lousville and prepare for their final destination locations.

Yes the resale value drops significantly for SS as I had series 0 aluminum and my brother had SS series 0. I sold mine for $150 while he was getting offers for $175-$200. So that is why for me it’s not a good idea to buy SS although SS looks cool and is better.
