I'm sure this has been asked many, many times, but is the Nike+ model the exact same as the normal Series 3 just with extra faces and an exclusive band? Strongly considering getting that model for those things and turning off the Nike stuff (if possible)

See here: #6
Same as stated in the various other threads where someone's asked this question. Mods ought to pick one and make a sticky perhaps.

  • No differences in the watch hardware.
  • Nike+ has different band options; last year none of the Nike bands were available separately until months after launch. We'll see what happens this year.
  • NRC app is preloaded, but can be hidden if desired (on AW2).
  • You can use any of the regular watch faces on the Nike watches if you wish.
  • The NRC complication is available, plus Nike faces, and Siri integration; I don't believe these are on the non-Nike even if you load NRC.
  • Nike watches are the same price as the equivalent non-Nike.

I have a series 2 Zagg screen protector my Series 3 right now! It’s the same exact screen protector. Doesn’t effect my lte or anything! Go get your screen protector!

Ordered one off Amazon to serve as a filler until the Zagg is available for S3 in a couple weeks.

Watch stays in the box till Friday...

What’s the flipping difference? It’s the same body for the watch!

They’re really just going to rebadge the box! LMBO!!!

Awesome, will definitely order that version then (Space Grey with the black sport loop). Thanks. Love the square black packaging too.

Yep, my replacement which was delayed due to the S3 release. Box had series 1/2/3 on it.

That's what I said. They told me the S2 Zagg protector isn't compatible with the S3 and they couldn't sell it to me.

Whatever.

Ordered my 42mm Apple Watch Nike+ this Monday, October 9th from Verizon. Estimted ship date is 11/8. Seem likely it’ll be that long?

ordered mine on 9-16 est del was 10-19 but arrived on 10-9 instead. there's hope...

It could very well be. I've never gotten AppleCare before... because I've always had the insurance thru Verizon for damage/theft.

My concern working around metal all day is bumping into something and scratching the watch. The glass protector I'm talking about would go a long way towards preventing that. I use the same glass protector on my iPhone and iPad screens. The feel isn't any different than the glass on the device which makes it a whole lot better than a film protector... and it's invisible.

I was going to suggest Applecare and maybe a bumper would be a good idea? Something like this?https://www.amazon.com/Caseology-Ru...07731435&sr=8-6&keywords=apple+watch+3+bumper

Wow that looks pretty cool. Will check it out! Thanks!

Yes I am probably going to go with AC+.

Not so much worried damage to iPhone and iPad because they are in cases... but the watch is on my wrist and I'm in a shop full of sheet metal and steel plate. I am not wearing it to work without protection.

i got charged for my Nike watch about an hour ago! My shipping times went from 11/23-12/3 to now 10/11. Waiting for it say shipped lol T-mobile here.

Nike.com has most in stock right now. I ordered and mine looks like it will take 3 days total to get to me.

Ordered my Space Gray Nike+ Cellular with black sport loop Sunday and will be delivered tomorrow. So glad I didn’t have to wait for Apple to deliver or deal with BestBuy. Seem to be the only ones in stock.

Wow people are getting them pretty quick. I ordered from Verizon the Nike 42mm and they gave me a date of 11/8. Here’s hoping it comes quicker. What are the odds?

It doesn’t look like Nike Canada’s website sells the Watches so I ordered mine from Apple with the 2-3 week wait. Hoping it gets delivered before that estimate.

I ordered mine Monday and have the same ship date as you. Also hoping it comes sooner!

I ordered mine from T Mobile the 5th of this month. Shipped last Saturday but it shipped UPS ground, scheduled for delivery today! This is the nike + 42mm space grey with black band cellular.

I just cancelled my order for the Cellular plus sport loop and ended up getting just the Space Grey Nike+ with GPS. I don't really have a use for cellular and can't see myself ever not having my iPhone with me. I was happy as long as the processor, wifi speeds and altimeter were the same, which they are.
