Nice! I'm picking one up later. I wonder how it feels after being exposed to water.

I just did a 1,700 yd pool swim with the Dark Olive Sport Loop. I’m sorry to say I wasn’t impressed. The Velcro kept getting undone.

And before anyone mentions it...I did read in the setup instructions that, for water sports, Apple recommends you wear the band with the loop away from you. I tried it both ways and it would still work itself free once in a while.

No matter though...I’ve got an aftermarket rubber band with a normal buckle that I wear for pool and open water swims and it always works great.

The Sport Loop was otherwise comfortable to wear, dried quickly, and didn’t stretch when wet.

And to echo another post...I only got the Sport Loop out of curiosity, since I know what the normal rubber sport band is all about. Having worn the SL, I wouldn’t buy another, or buy another AW with a SL again.

I don’t dislike it enough to return the AW and exchange for one with a rubber sport band though, haha!! The Dark Olive (its more of an Olive Drab or OD Green) looks sharp against the Space Gray.

IMHO, YMMV, etc.

AW Series 3: “Hello, my name is Tracy, Dick Tracy”

After waiting patiently nearly all day for that familiar brown truck, my SS S3 LTE finally arrived. Setup was a snap - it went much faster and easier than I anticipated. Tap, tap, click, click and my S3 was operational. I skipped the AT&T authorization because I wanted to make sure the watch was operating perfectly and that my heart rate data from my S0 was intact. It was. At age 79, one pays attention to heart rate data. The most difficult part of the process was removing the Milanese strap from my S0. I had never removed it since Opening Day in 2015 and it was gummed up. I cleaned the ends of the strap and the slots on my S0 with 180 proof Everclear. I keep Everclear around for cleaning purposes only, you understand.

The S3 is outstanding. Display brilliant. Very responsive. Watch face changes easy. App loading is fast. I am very happy. “It just works.”

After reading some of the posts here, I was apprehensive about the AT&T authorization process. It was very easy. Tap, tap, tap and it was done. Apparently, AT&T had gotten their act together by late afternoon. Now it was time to try out LTE. Leaving my iP7 on my desk, I hobbled down the street 3 or 4 doors and finally got the green dots. I placed my first call to my 89 year old sister in Washington State. She uses a iP6 I bought for her. 89 years old. iPhone. Non techy. Get it? “It just works.” When I lifted my wrist to place that first call, I was transported in my imagination back into the 1940’s newspaper comics. I told my big sister that she should no longer call her little brother “Tommy” but “Dick.” Dick Tracy. The 2-way wrist radio is here. Thank you, Steve.

Respectfully submitted,

Tommy, aka Dick Tracy

My data stayed. All my workouts, heart rate everything.
Any comment of battery life with audible alerts, amount of notifications and complications running, music playback with interactive apps at the gym?!

I think with all the excitement, pre orders and deliveries on Apple Watch S3 I really think Apple may need to start individual reporting of these in its own category ;)

I love my Apple Watch S2 Nike+ and glad these devices are no longer seen as a gimmick.

PS: place your phone on a table where the camera can get a view of you giving the wife/husband their AW and use yours to take a remote picture ;)
[doublepost=1506154545][/doublepost]. Regarding Health Data is it split (history) between the two devices, meaning of you delete the S0 Watch all historical data is gone?
I’ve sold my first Apple Watch S2 Nike+ and bought another and restored from backup and this is what happened.

I had to check but I did not loose any of my historical Health data. I don’t care too much about the workout data but would really hated losing my heart data.

Sorry I should've been more clear when I asked.
you'll not loose ANY heart rate data - unless in the iPhone Health App, under Sources:
Here you'll find the listing of BOTH your AW's (old and new).
Selecting either you'll see data for any particular info. Heart will have Reesting Heart Rate, Walking, and Heart Rate Variability.
If you REMOVE the older Watch listing, then I'm pretty positing you'll delete all historical data (say from the last 5 days and previous since you just got your S3 watch). This is regardless if you've backed up and restored data to the new watch - I know cause I've done this same thing with the same model AW S2 Nike+ edition.

For what it's worth, I ordered my S3 cellular (an Hermes one) on Tuesday with a 3-4 week shipping estimate, and it just switched to shipped with an estimated arrival of this coming Tuesday, Sept 26. Based on the reports here (especially of the speed), I'm definitely looking forward to it.

An update: turns out my local Apple Store had this model available for in-store pick-up, so I went ahead and did that. Wearing it now. It's beautiful in person. I'll just end up returning the one that's otherwise en route. Seems like the Series 3 models are nowhere near as constrained as the original Apple Watch launch.

There are apple stores that have some watches. One is 45 minutes from me. I might cancel my order and just go get one there. I don’t understand how there can be stock in some stores and then they say shipping is 3-4 weeks out.

Ordered when my att store opened on preorder day and as of today nothing in my hand, no expected delivery, no tracking...glad you guys got yours but frustrated that I did not get mine. Called ATT and said that I had a reservation number but couldn't tell me why I didn't see it as promised. I've been waiting for this watch release for autonomous operation.:mad::mad::mad:

Ordered a Nike 38mm GPS only Space Grey Aluminum and delivery was Oct 5th the moment the store opened. Oh well, I had my S0 on launch day, so I should be good :)

ETA: At least the status update stalking will be fun - no idea when it will really ship!
I orders mine two days later because I was so indecisive on if I wanted to upgrade and if I wanted the Lte version. Ended up getting the Lte version in the storm trooper colour I guess I can call it. Ships 10/16-22) I'm like gah lee!!

My shipping date was originally set to 10/13 - 10/20, now it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow, 9/25.

Its like this with all apple products since at least the iPhone 3g. It was wait 4-6 weeks for shipping or drive to an apple store and get one as they had stock come in almost daily. That way they can appease the customers that buy it online. They know when they will receive it. They also have stock available for the impulse buyers at the store where they will also look around and maybe purchase other products because the apple store is always getting in stock.

I woke up late on preorder day and ordered at about 6:15AM EST, Apple Watch SS GPS+LTE. Coming from a launch day Series 0 (well, it was mfg warranty replaced twice!) and can't wait for the speed improvements more than anything. It was hard to pull the trigger on another $750 just for stainless steel, but knowing I won't upgrade again for a while helps. I don't own any other watches, so my justification is I want a nice looking watch if I'm going to wear one... whatever helps justify, right? ;)

My delivery date is 10/6-10/13, which sucks, and I've seen no movement since I ordered. Some people here saying their estimates have been moved up is encouraging, and I remember that happening with Series 0 too so I'm hoping it happens for me!
