Managed to pickup a S3 LTE from Nike for £209 knowing that there was a new one round the corner. At that price, I can't imagine the S4 will bring anything new that would make me disappointed. The only thing I hope for is Vodafone supporting the e-SIM rather than EE only in the UK.
Would be great if o2 could support the Apple Watch series 4.

Whilst this is exciting news, o think my Apple Watch is the best Apple device I own! And am keen to see what the new ones will be like.

I wouldn’t go by these reports, reason being we had the model numbers registered earlier this year that were supposed to be for the new iPhone SE, and we all know what’s happened to that!

Then again maybe we’ll get new SE models next month too?

Still hope we see new watches.

This is the best news I could have asked for. My S0 is on life support. I barely make it through the day unless on airplane mode all day but then I don’t get notifications.

Huge bonus getting a bigger screen and possible redesign.

There’s no reason to offer models without cellular capability. Just make the cellular model the same price as the non-cellular was.
Some people don't want an extra device attached to their cell bill. I have read around the macrumors foums and find there is more people that pay for the cell model that have wound up deactiviating it from their plan becuase they never use the feature.

I have a series 2, with no real compelling reason to get the 3, but a larger display and some form factor improvements, and if they have a longer battery life, I'm sold on one. (if I can save up the clams!)

Still using my S0 and wasn’t considering replacing it. Until it helped identify potential health problems to monitor over the next few years.

Safe to say I’ll be wearing an Apple Watch going forward.

Looking on pic i got idea that first product Apple can introduce with bendable display can be Apple Watch not iPhone/iPad. It would mean complete redesign or having two models.

Nice try but the display clearly has less bezels than the older models. That is a very nice change.
I think he's referring to last year pre-Series 3 announcement when some mocker-uppers thought the screen would be made biggerer/more bigly

As long as I can buy one without being forced to activate it, I agree 100%. I refuse to pay my carrier more money for data I've already purchased once. I could probably swallow a one-time activation fee if I had to though.

Would be great. But I fear this is Apple. So they will make the cellular's the same price as the celluar's. And if you don't want to use the cell you'll just pay for it anyway and not activate it.

I have the series 3, not sure if I will upgrade to the series 4 yet. Have a new iPhone X Plus and iPad Pro purchase also, might hold off here until some deals come.
If you will get iPhone Xs plus and iPad Pro with a monthly installment, you should be able to purchase the series 4 easily as Verizon offers it with a monthly installment payment as well for the cellular version if everything is within your budget. Personally, I always pay in full for all apple devices because they are budgeted yearly.

So what are we expecting at this event then...
I suspect slightly updated existing things and some speech about “best ever line-up for the holidays”

I do my iPhone with a monthly, but I always sell and upgrade my other Apple devices. I do that yearly with my iPad, but I usually wait a couple in between watches. I'll wait to see the keynote before deciding on the series 4.

The September event will likely have the following announcements:

Apple Watch Series 4

iPhone X, X Plus and the cheaper 6.1" iPhone in multiple colours

iPad Pro - new design with Face ID, smaller bezels, no home button

Possible announcements also include a new 13" MacBook to replace the Air and an announcement about Airpower release date, also new AirPods with the charging case and possibly a new Apple pencil.

We will know how busy the keynote is going to be as soon as Tim Cook walks on stage, if he says "i'm going to dispense with the updates on how the company is doing and get right too it" then we know that it's going to be jam packed, BUT if he gives updates and or invites up other people to talk about environment and so on then it's a filler and there won't be as busy an event as we think.

Except all those who don't need/want the additional cost of adding an LTE device to their cellphone bill.
