ugh, please don't make it much bigger. Women don't want a big-azz watch on their wrist like some douchebag with a huge Rolex trying to impress the ladies *eyeroll*

IMO the Apple Watch could easily be a little larger without looking obnoxious and gaudy (especially if the form factor was round). It’s current 42mm square design is already narrower than most modest designer watches I’ve seen. To each their own I guess... but keep in mind, there are very practical advantages to increased size in terms of readability/usability and battery life. Impressing ladies with one’s smart watch might not be the main design focus of a gadget company.

I’ve also included an image of a Rolex Submariner compared to a 42 mm AW. The Rolex appears larger and wider despite being listed as a 40mm Watch. And the Submariner is not a large watch at all, definitely one of the smaller less flashy Rolex options. Apple certainly has some wiggle room on size without looking like a chunky Samsung S3 :)

Make it round and less chunky. Also the black void is awful.

Why this nonsense went from "fashion accessory" to a gadget you buy on sale at Target and Walmart.

I am on my 4th Apple Watch (got my first one on the launch day) and I was not going to upgrade this year unless they would offer:
1) Native sleep tracking app
2) Always on display

If not it is likely I will wait for another year.

To everyone wishing the new watch is thinner, this is clearly aesthetic over functionality. All I need is longer battery life. Better maintain current thickness but won’t be disappointed if it goes a bit thicker.

So basically the screen will be the same dimensions as originally planned for the original AW.... before they increased the bezels and changed all their videos. Everyone remember that?

Make it the thickness of an iPhone 4, or at least curved toward the edges, and I'd probably get one. It is just too thick for my relatively small wrists.

Thinner. Reduce bezels to add screen real estate. That's about all I really want.

If battery life is longer I'd be fine with that, but I don't really need it. My watch has no problem getting through a marathon along with the rest of the day. GPS definitely the big battery suck.

Do they really need to launch a new series every year? Why not wait 2 or 3 years until they have gathered a good deal of innovative technologies? This let’s make a chip 10% faster and screen 20% larger and release a new watch mindset is Boring...

The only real complaint about the Apple Watch is the battery life. Not that my current aw s2 has bad battery life but the less I have to worry about charging it the better.

I would say there is almost no chance Apple will release a round version in the fall. Even Jony Ive commented that a round version did not make sense to him, being that he is one of the designers behind the Apple Watch. I think around version would be appreciated, but I don’t believe will Apple venture onto that path. At this time.

I have a belief that they will definitely add one at some point, but it's going to be one of things they do after they've run out their other options. Like the iPhone 6 plus. They will run through a few iterations first, and then when they realize it's slipping, they will role out the alternative (a larger screen; which people wanted -- or a round watch; which people want).

I agree with you that I don't think it's coming yet though. Maybe in another 2 iterations.

I held out on getting an Apple Watch until they provided one that was waterproof (Series 2). Third gen came out and it was attractive but not enough to get me to jump.

This news, if true, has done it. Looking forward to buying a Series 4 watch now.

No, got a link? I’m curious.
