This comment is the internet equivalent of old man yells at cloud or old man yells get off my lawn.:p:D

Reviewing and commenting about tech literally is their job. I'm sure they earn everything they get... just like you do at your job. They just have different ancillary benefits (early access to tech) than you do with your gig.

Get off my ****ing post ;)

Silly question: does the walkie-talkie feature only work on the cellular models? That feature look great but don’t wanna shell out extra for the cellular version. If I had that, I’d just be making calls on the watch instead of using walkie-talkie.

It works on Wi-Fi too.

It's a shame they didn't put this much thought into the original X packaging- considering the 10 year anniversary and the price tag. Could've been a little more magical of an unboxing. ;) ( I'm a romantic )

I'm pretty sure they are just review units. MKBHD even said in his that the one he purchased for personal use was space grey. Most of the reviews I've watched (ijustine, mkbhd, klossy etc) all had the gold xs max in 512gb and karlie kloss even said apple pulled her and virgil abloh to the side to give them phones after the keynote.

Off topic but not really... iJustine is so annoying.

Same here, never heard of her until after the event and watched a few videos. Barely made it a minute into her video before click on the next one. Happy to see MKBHD as big as he is now though. Stopped following "gadget news" for a while and he has

If the proliferation of unboxing videos isn't the surest sign of the decline of civil society, I don't know what is (without getting all political, at least...).

Seriously! I wonder if they do get them for free, before paying customers do. Either way...they should be available to everyone, or no one.

I assume you don't realize she has over 5 million subscribers...which is a much bigger audience than a lot of old school tech media. Of course she gets review units. The rest of us don't have a massive youtube audience!

It's also really good advertisement. Assuming the product is good. :D

I was watching iJustine's video yesterday and was also surprised by the new packaging. Kinda wish I hadn't watched her video now. I'm looking forward to seeing my wife's reaction. She's not Apple obsessed but she appreciates the little details that Apple is known for and she told me she is really getting excited for her first Apple Watch to arrive tomorrow—a Series 4 AL 40mm. She never gets excited about new tech but she is excited about this. She is really thrifty, so it is difficult for her to get excited when she spends a lot of money on something because she feels guilty. We both grew up lower middle class with parents who were horrible at managing finances, but it was only in the past few years since turning 30 that we started making good money, which I think is helping her to get over her money insecurity issues.

Hm. Looks more like very few of the sane thought this would be a good job. So you got the other ones instead. For now. Might develop over time.

So, a bit like politics sometimes. Maybe Borat can talk to Youtubers next.
