Same here, only I charge in the morning when I'm eating breakfast, etc. I also sync my Audible books to my Watch while charging. I wear my Watch at night because I use SleepWatch to track my sleep.
My SS 44mm will be waiting for me with my 11 Pro Max on Launch Day.

It appears that orders of Space Black Stainless Apple Watches are being handled differently from orders of other watch cases —which gives rise to speculation. Perhaps, Apple will ship them from the fulfillment center in the United States.
Perhaps, but I would think we’d have a tracking number by now.
Additionally, my iPhone 11 pro max tracking number isn’t allowing me to request it to be held for pickup, saying it needs to be attempted to deliver first.
So this year is really odd...
I just talked to ATT CS, they said shipping out on 19th for next day delivery Fed Ex.
I wasn't going to get an Apple Watch until sleep tracking, but I'm seriously thinking about getting one. I recently found out my dad is having some heart issues, and I don't have good heart genetics on either side of my family. My dad actually detected his issue with a different smartwatch. Even though I'm young, having something to monitor my heart and push me when it comes to fitness goals seems like it would be really useful. I really don't want to spend the money, I was actually waiting to get a good deal on a new TV, but now it kinda feels like I need one. Hmm.
Heart issues can happen with young people. I'm giving my dad my S4 so he can have the fall detection and ECG.
I ordered at 10pm last night for Silver Aluminum, which still showed aFriday delivery. I haven’t gotten any tracking info yet, but something is showing up in UPS MY Choice.
I have the exact same timeline, not sure why they haven’t updated since they departed Anchorage almost two days ago.
I ordered a SS 40mm within a few minutes of ordering opening up last week, and my Apple account has said it would be delivered Sept. 23rd, and it's being processed.
I checked UPS My Choice today, and it's saying that it shipped yesterday and coming on the 20th.

Very late to the game here. Just decided to get an Apple Watch as a motivation to get healthier.
Anyway, wondering if there is any chance of grabbing one launch day or am I better off ordering from Apple and having it delivered by 10/3-10/8?
Edit: wanting a cellular Space Grey Aluminum. Would like a Sport Loop, but not 100% on that.

Ordered immediately when released, says it’s been shipped from China and in transit. Card was charged a day after release.

Just spent a few hours on the phone and through chat asking questions. Got a lot of mixed information. Most of it boils down to “it’s says it’ll be there Friday and that’s all we know.” Even spoke to a supervisor.
One agent was telling me there was some sort of glitch with some orders that they’re implementing a fix at 9pm PST to fix that doesn’t let them press some button to submit the order to be researched or something? So she thinks that’s it and is telling me my tracking number should pull up after 9pm PST. The supervisor told me there are no glitches and doesn’t know what she was talking about but that my order shows it’s ready for shipment and a tracking number will be provided later. He said he doesn’t care that I’ve ordered in the past years and never seen this, or that others online are getting tracking numbers. He said “Apple changes things sometimes.” He was very rude.
Overall, I got no real reassurance. Most people just kept saying “it’s being prepared for shipment, you’ll be emailed when it’s shipped. That is all.”
Another data point: ordered a Space Black SS 44mm this morning, arrives 9/20 and Preparing to Ship at the moment. Nothing in UPS My Choice either, which did show my S4 last year ahead of time — though I ordered later this year.
