They had to change the center part for metal to get the ECG electrode. Pity they kept the red ring but they seem to want to distinguish between cell and non-cell models. I guess if one had many it would be a quick way of checking.![]()
Maybe for the Pros, but it seems unlikely as that would be a lot of titanium and titanium isn't exactly common like steel and aluminum.Titanium iphones?
Sapphire glass is kind of an oxymoron.Hey Apple! How about not cheating out on your „Saphire glass“ instead. My watch is full of scratches
Edit: Wait! The titanium model comes with real Saphire glass? That would be a compelling argument for me.
As my later edit states, my Series 0 glass is near flawless after all these years of construction / automotive work. It is my "Dirty" watch (don't think dirty here) that has quite a few case scratches (aluminum) but the glass is great.I went with black Stainless to get the sapphire front crystal. 3 years later it's still scratch free. And the enamel coat is holding up well.
(waiting for my S-5)
I don't see the point of this article. This is all in the spec sheets for anyone interested.
The point is to inform forum readers of the error initially posted on the Apple spec sheet. If you already knew that's great but many didn't and were confused why they were the same weightI don't see the point of this article. This is all in the spec sheets for anyone interested.
I can't be the only one who thinks the red ring indicator is ridiculous.
How weird. I would have thought the titanium would weigh less than aluminum. No reason to choose titanium over aluminum for weight.
I had both aluminum and SS. I love the weight of the S3 SS more. I was disappointed when I tried on the S4 SS and it weighed less than the S3 SS.I like the weight though. Anyone else?
I don’t like the aluminium ones as they don’t feel solid.
That's how I felt about the red dot on Series 3. Except on Space Grey and Space Black models, where it looked stunning coupled with a black/grey watchband and red accents on the watch face.I can't be the only one who thinks the red ring indicator is ridiculous.
Is the series 5 worth upgrading to from the series 2?
I do too. Plus I prefer the shiny look in a watch. It just looks nicer to me. So I'm still good with the SS.I like the weight though. Anyone else?

I find that the ring is even more subtle with the SSGold on the S4.I honesty don’t mind the ring. It’s subtle. Like others have said, better than series 3 solid dot.
I updated from a S1 to S4 last year, the difference is evident. Given that the S5 is a minor upgrade from the S4, the choice comes down to whether or not you want an Always-On Display. There’s no mention if you can turn off the feature, but assuming that you can, then battery life should improve by a tiny bit given that AODs use modest amounts of power depending on the watch face complication. Is the series 5 worth upgrading to from the series 2?
Weighty issueI don't see the point of this article. This is all in the spec sheets for anyone interested.
