When you compare the SS vs Aluminum side by side... the Aluminum feels much lighter.

Once you wear the SS for a day... you no longer notice.

Hmmm. The lighter the watch, the fewer calories you burn when wearing it and the longer it takes to finish your move ring. :(

I don't see the point of this article. This is all in the spec sheets for anyone interested.

Because the information at first was wrong on the spec sheets, I already found it weird that all had the same weights because the obvious advantage of titanium over steel is that it's lighter.

Is either the Silver or Space Black Link Bracelet color compatible with the titanium watch - especially the respective space black?

Dream iPhone materials are ceramic back, titanium body, and sapphire display
Yeah that would be amazing... you know more people would buy an iPhone designer series from Apple then a watch. In my opinion at least. They did try a limited run of a more exclusive model when they released the jet black 7. Maybe it’s possible we see something similar with more prestigious materials.

I’m not sure why the Ti is an Edition model and the SS is not. Boosts the AppleCare price considerably..

Edition is two years warranty and AppleCare+ of three years total.

SS is the usual one year warranty and two year AppleCare+

Monthly price is different by $5 so yes Edition remains more expensive but not as much as it first appears when you don't consider the additional year.

My s3 is flawless, both body and screen, after a year and half of daily wear. Hard for me to justify any more expensive model.

Except the spec sheets listed the titanium model at the same weight as the stainless steel -- until this morning when they were corrected.

I can't be the only one who thinks the red ring indicator is ridiculous.
You're probably not.

Haven't really had any reason to think about it, myself. I'm looking at the display most of the time.

How weird. I would have thought the titanium would weigh less than aluminum. No reason to choose titanium over aluminum for weight.

Aluminum has a Moh’s hardness of 3, steel 4.5, titanium 6. In terms of scratch resistance only ceramic might be better. Structurally it’s way stronger, but in this application strength is moot.

 already tried sapphire for the phone cover, it was a bust.

I like the weight though. Anyone else?

I don’t like the aluminium ones as they don’t feel solid.

What are you doing with the watch that makes the aluminum ones not feel solid? Are you biting down on it as hard as you can? Are you opening beer bottles with it? Are you replacing your car bumper with Apple Watches?

If you work at the zoo giving prostate exams to the gorillas, I could see the aluminum ones not being solid enough for that.

Titanium is stronger than aluminium for the same weight.

I suspect the weight discrepancy for titanium, which is known for lightweight and relative to SS as much stronger, comes down to it being an ‘Edition’ model. Heaviness tends to be associated with quality watches, so Apple could be trying to give wearers a nice premium feel
Not sure what you mean by that, as the titanium watch is lighter than the cheaper steel-cased watch.
