Better luck ordering at Best buy this year. My store had mine in stock ready for pickup after I placed the order within 5 minutes. Heading to my Best Buy at 10am 5 minutes away. Such a shame this year Apple! And mines the basic space gray aluminum 44mm non cellular.

Woke up to a shipment email and got a bit excited, but still says I’m getting it the 28th. None of the Apple stores around here are open so guess I’m waiting 🤷♂.
I didn't even think of that, but I am sure they will. I can't see them just taking that money and saying goodbye.
You can most defiantly return the AppleCare within the return period. Also if you buy it and keep the watch for a year you can call and receive a prorated refund for the remaining year of AppleCare. Did it on my iPhone XS Max when I got my 11 last year and got $90 back for the unused year.
Yeah, my wife's watch (purchased same time as mine) still waiting to be shipped. I got my shipping email pretty early this morning - from China.
Quite a few watches are available for local pickup - but oh well. Always kinda been this way with Apple - buy online and you'll sit waiting for it - for a week after people in store have had it. Was hoping for better this year.
I get it though, you can't do a release and say available on 9/18 all over your website, then not have any in your own stores, or your partners stores. The problems with that would be far greater than the people who pre order and get thier watches weeks/months later.
I ordered mine directly from Apple. Still waiting on shipping, but its Preparing to Ship. I ordered stainless steel (silver) with 44 mm and sport loop. I picked up a bumper case and screen protector from best buy(Series 5 is same design). I ordered AC+ with mine as well.
My watch has left Japan from China. 
tried looking mine up using the reference number on ups or fedex and nothing either.
1. Couldn't tell you. Not trading anything in for this purchase! I have done trade-ins in store in the past, though. When the 11 launched I traded in a X in store and that was actually a really nice process! Might be different in COVID times.
2. In an abundance of caution, I haven't cancelled my online order and don't plan to do so until I actually pick up my in store order. However, as of right now, my online order has an option to cancel the order. Maybe the order will progress in the next couple of hours where I won't be able to cancel that order (hopefully not thought! lol). Also worth noting that the order I placed is financed with Apple Card. I don't think that makes much of a difference tho
Just spoke to Apple rep. Apparently, mine is still being “kitted”(?). I could have just ordered TODAY, and picked up the exact same model TODAY at my local store. But because I ordered back on Tuesday, I have to wait until 25-29th. Yeah, that makes sense 🤪

Mine's coming directly from China! I'm sure it'll come sooner (fingers crossed). UPS says label created and coming from LuxShare iTech (Zhejiang)
My SBTi shipped and have tracking number but Delivery Date is unknown for now but apple order page says by 9/28/2020. Hopefully I'll get it in my hand before that date.
I did order a Blue aluminium case Watch S6 for in-store pick up later today. The blue model looks stunning.
I checked my local best buys and local apple stores here in Raleigh/Triangle NC and nothing is available for store pickup. So i am anxiously awaiting the shipment from China!
So previously i had delivery of sep 25-29, now it says arrives sep 28. Anyone think it might actually get here sooner? I have seen these Apple packages leave China and arrive in a day or so, but wondering if the current state of the world things are slower. It seems like a ten days from shipping to arriving is long for apple
I ordered a Silver SS 44mm at 2:15 on Tuesday and had a delivery window of 9/30-10..something. I looked this morning after seeing someone’s post about them being available for pickup and sure enough my store had it in stock. Going to pick it up within the hour. Was even able to order a Graphite SS 44 for the husband.
No way it takes 10 days if already shipped. Mine is in the same spot and I bet you'll see it arrive Monday 21 or Tuesday at the latest.

Got an Origin Scan in Jiaxing, China. Still no delivery date though from UPS though. Come on Monday!!!

Apple shows delivery Sept 28 (original date range was Sep 25-29) So same as lot of others of yours
UPS shows it In Transit now- still no delivery date on UPS tracking - but was scanned in at Jiaxing, China at 10:44PM.
