I had the same issue. In the cart it showed the 15th. Checked out it told me by Nov 1st. Just cancelled it and placed an order to pick up in store while laying over on a work trip in Manhattan. I guess it gives me an excuse to retake the ferry across the river and thugs for a stroll in Central Park.

You read it wrong buddy! I wasn’t targeting class difference or people that are starving. I was letting Apple know to make the order process more seamless and user friendly. The fact Apple stayed very quiet until last minute was wrong. It’s not fair to the consumers. Again, not upset about the delivery date. It was just the approach Apple took this year that was wrong with the Apple Watch orders. It should have been process more like iPhone 13 pre-order.
Most sketchiest and shadiest product launch by Apple ever. Thats a fact!

I am not disagreeing. I am very thankful to be born where I am even though I wasn’t born into wealth I also wasn’t born into extreme poverty as I have seen, heard and sat alongside.
I mean in a hut of straw, mud, wood and what not, the corner to utilize for bathroom, the middle to cook, all less then the size of my office I’m currently in.
however, I still think for folks trying to charge $300-1300 gross, for a watch, while we’re very lucky to afford it cash, they (apple) are also very lucky to be able to put that out while sitting on enormous profits. And this is coming from a longtime shareholder too. And as such, they should be able to act a bit more accordingly imho. This is more about not getting the specs in advance more so then the shipping delays because of shortage btw.
Yep in a world of class differences where your target audience is limited perhaps apple should get its act together and not take them for granted.
Nope not going to doom apple. It’s a just a needless self inflicted cut on their brand. They can add up though. Always manage what you can control such as this.

I wasn’t going to get one but my battery life has been going a bit downhill on my Series 6, and I’ve honestly gotten tired of the black aluminum after several years on that color.
Starlight aluminum is the first non-black aluminum color I’ve thought would look nice with my other jewelry and accessories. The silver aluminum was a bit colder looking to me.
I only just ordered and I’ve got a early November shipping estimate I’m happy with. It’s Starlight Aluminum 41 mm Velcro band with GPS. Usually I go with Nike but this time I opted for a regular one.
This will give me a nice couple of years on a design I think is attractive, in case they go with that iPhone shaped design next year, after all. I’m not sure I’m sold on that look though I appreciate a flat crystal. If not, and there are new sensors next year, well I guess I’ll do another trade then.

same with me, in on first seconds of going live but no home delivery until mid november. store pickup initially showed pickup on 15th oct but that option disappeared when i tried to select time slot.
Tried ordering Series 7 Aluminum watch as gift for my wife, but finalizing transaction was greyed out. After 90 minutes contacted Apple specialist who ran into same issues. Could not place order and later on just didn't care about mid Nov. delivery.
Hope they don't hose pre-orders for upcoming Macbook Pro's like this!

Ooh that’s a nice present. I once had the gold SS with a later purchase of gold Milanese but unfortunately that was back when gold was a weird brown color instead of real gold. Someday I’d like to have gold SS again in actual gold! For now, I’m excited about the new starlight aluminum color.
They changed the gold last year from the bronze they used to have to a much more gold looking gold.
In Norway, you can order an Apple Watch now, and without any delay from Apple's promised shipping date which are November 8-15.
I know exactly what happened. You saw the new lavender watch band and decided it needed a new watch to go with.
Lol no, actually the band I got was coral with beige Sport Loop. Oops, that’s not the color’s actual name. Apple calls it Pomelo and Tan. Unfortunately there are no lavender sport loop bands. The lavender bands I liked I would probably go in person to get a fitting if the one local to me offers it. I think they do, as long as I wear a mask.I know exactly what happened. I just got home and ordered a stainless steel with cell, in graphite and it's saying available for pickup next friday, what am i missing? I am not a fan of the blue loop but i already have plenty of bands. Did i order a watch no one wants? I am happy, coming off a SS 4 in black, so i'm looking forward to graphite color.
I was just informed by Apple that you can't order any Apple Watch that is not in stock. If the band isn't in stock you can't place an order for delivery later. If the case isn't in stock you can't place an order.
In other words, if the combo you want isn't "in stock" don't bother trying to order, because you can't.

Yeah, I wasted much time this morning trying to order the selection that I wanted. More than anything, I wanted the 45mm Silver SS and finally had to select a band that wasn’t too horrible. I figured that I have a selection of SS bands that I can use, so even though I didn’t get the band color that I wanted, the case was more important.
