Apple Watch Series 7 Already Facing November Delivery for Some Models

Pissed. Ordered right away and had my order confirmation email at 7:04am. My email says October 15th but when I click on check my status this shows

I can’t get any version to give me the “Add to Bag” option… it’s the section re: Connectivity that’s the issue. It only shows “GPS + Wireless” instead of both that and GPS, thereby preventing me from making a highlighted selection; since I can’t make a selection, I can’t add to the bag. Irritating, but *** it. Not gonna beg them to let me give them money. I’ll try again next month maybe.
 
Having to mess with the sizes during ordering is a bit annoying. On the bright side I do think for a few years now the watch and band come in separate boxes but then packaged together right? I do think Apple is good about exchanging the band only.

Actually what would be really nice, is if they allowed ordering of the case only. But of course they have the retail price of all these bands built in now, and its easy money.
I accidentally ordered the solo loop instead of the sport band and customer service said if you go to a store you can exchange the band.
 
I ordered mine after procrastinating a while figuring out which band to get. Settled on one and ordered. It’ll be here on launch day.

I briefly chatted w a specialist and they said their system is experiencing issues. In the past, I've had orders change status through the week - the specialist's recommendation was to check back later.

Let's hope it isn't JANUARY. That would mean it would miss Christmas deadlines for some people.
 
It's hysterical to see so many people bitching about shipping delays... as if that doesn't almost always happen with a new Apple product. Surprise!! It's in demand! People love their products and snatch them up as soon as they go on sale. This is not new news. The real issue is that many people don't seem to understand is that we are still in a global pandemic. There are chip shortages, labor shortages, shipping delays, and supply chain issues as a result. Apple, more than most companies, understands supply and demand and supply chain management. In light of the current situation, I think they are doing the best they can. Am I disappointed my Watch won't arrive until early November? Sure. But guess what? It's a WATCH, so it's not like a delay of a few weeks (or more) is causing me harm or even inconvenience. I'll just continue to wear my current watch until the time comes. HOW WILL I SURVIVE?!
 
I usually get aluminum as that allows me to upgrade twice as often, however I still checked the SS and titanium shipping dates when I ordered around T+5mins. They all showed launch day delivery for me.

Maybe if Apple waited until manufacturing stock met up with their expected demand (its not like this is the first time they've done a launch, they probably have a good idea how many they could sell on launch day), THEN putting it on pre-order, they wouldn't piss off so many people.
 
Was the stainless steel one ever available for delivery on October 15? I got to ordering really quick after the App Store became online and it went to an October 25-Nov1 delivery immediately (with Milanese Loop for the band).

Also the green Braided Loop they have been advertising with isn't available at all? I wish they just let you order these things separately since I have other loops I could use the new watch with. Give everybody a standard adjustable band as a default and any other bands are add-ons to your order.
 
I ordered a gold ss with Milanese loop (45mm) within 3 minutes of the store opening and I got the first week of November as an estimate. I had to design that config myself so I’m wondering if that increased the delay…

Yeah I did the same, gold SS with gold milanese but this was 41mm (present for the wife). I ordered my SS first, then went through the configurator and got a ship date of 11/8-11/15. I did try for the leather band at first, but that wasn't available for pickup or delivery.

I am willing to bet its showing that because you are buying a custom sized loop band. That sucks hopefully it really isnt that long but multiple people have seen the same thing with the custom size bands

i feel lucky to have gotten mine for October 15th delivery, grabbed a 45mm gold stainless with a midnight leather band
