I have a 3 and honestly have maybe worn it less than 30 times... at least I got it refurb'd. One of the worst apple buys I've done.
I went from no watch to a Samsung S3, to an Apple 3, to a 4. The jump from 3 to 4 felt substantial. The 5 and 6 never did much for me. I wear my 4 most days but I often didn’t with the threes. I’m considering a 7, because of the larger screen and because of the always on display.

But you’re right about not wearing it. It’s was my biggest hurdle.

Dear MacRumors,

You have great articles, but this incessant pushing of BASELESS guesses on what the next Apple Watch, the next iPhone, etc. may or may not have, is complete BS.

The so-called experts and insiders you quote are NOTHING but hacks flipping a coin, and you are providing them the soapbox to speak from, and that in turn gives them the money to continue. The few times they are right, it is basically the blind chicken finding a corn every now and then.

Unfortunately it leaves us, the readers, with a sour taste in our months, and that dilutes the important articles and messages you mostly distribute.

If AW8 can accurately and flawlessly read blood glucose noninvasively, the device will revolutionize healthcare, and Apple won’t be able to make enough of them. It wouldn’t even need to tell the time.

In my opinion, it is a waste of time to talk about unsubstantiated rumors a year out for the Apple Watch.

Indeed, it’s just pointless clickbait.

rumors, rumors, rumors - we do not KNOW anything about the AW8.
Based on how the series 7 rumor mill went, WE KNOW NOTHING.

Should have been a short article. We know nothing, nothing.
Y’all know this is MacRumors, right? Lol! The entire site was founded on wisps and speculation. What are you looking for, a press release?

Keeping up with technology has become so hard.
If you don't buy something immediately, you get close to the release of the next iteration.

I want bigger battery, don't mind weight. Give me at least 5 days on single charge.

"Should, would, could" is, as always, enough for long and continuous news articles for tech media and the various "analysts".

If anyone knows a "we don't post anything until we actually have something"-tech news site then please let me know.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

You're not wearing any "clothes" just because someone is saying you are, and because, you in return, say that they are wearing clothes too, and many others join in, convinced you are wearing "clothes" because why would the experts say it if it isn't true.

However, you have to actually wear clothes to not be naked no matter what you or anyone else is saying.

Apple Watch 8 news is fully "naked" -there is NOTHING!

Thanks for pointing that out ?

I’m sure you worked it out for yourself tho that it’s more the fact we don’t know anything and that it’s all speculation, so saying “what we know” is misleading. “What we guess” would be more appropriate.

I just hope to see new health sensors. A UV sensor to measure environmental exposure to UV light (similar to Environmental Sound Levels) would be an easy add.
Except that light is highly directional.

A tendency for a shirt cuff to cover the watch would result in a massively different exposure to, say, a bald pate. So the UV exposure while walking around might not tell you much. But if you lay it on your beach towel, unshaded, then it could work - but you'd lose any other health facility that requires the watch to be worn.

Predicting an Apple products that cycles every year...a year in advance is nonsense. I went from a 3 (my first Apple Watch) to a 6. When the 9 rolls out I will seriously consider it.

Not for me. I enjoyed the article.

Not understanding why some are so upset.

Spot on. Sadly...people being aggrieved and angered for the tiniest of things, at the drop of a hat, is the new normal.

I expect something better than trash tabloid reporting meant to generate revenue for the forum.

did you bother reading the headline?

Better battery life is the only thing I want in an Apple Watch. It should last at least two full days with normal usage.
Cancelled my AW7 order, for this reason. I like everything else about the AW. For the wait until the AW8, I instead grabbed a Garmin Enduro. Arrived a week ago, charged it in an hour, and it still has 22 days of battery life…now 8 days later. Solar power boost is an incredible feature. Do not use the O2 feature (on any watch) as it is a battery sucking feature that tells you basically nothing.

I do not understand why Apple hasn’t introduced solar power on their watches. Hope they do in the future.

I mentioned solar power when the original watch launched. Still surprised not to see it.

It is a real shame that MacRumors has turned into little more than a Murdoch style tabloid site. It is one thing to present leaks from reliable sources who have repeatedly been reliable in the near past, assuming they can find them. It is crossing the line to report every thing on a wishlist and provided by any unverifiable source, which is pretty much a scraping of all the moo poop off of the feedlot floor.

Poor Juli,
One day having to write about those ridiculous pillows and then a day or two later this…

Bring Apple Watch as fully standalone device with NO dependency (NO need to iPhone or similar):

Time For The Apple Watch to Separate From The iPhone

It’s Time for the Apple Watch to Break Free From the iPhone

Do not forget a camera to take pictures, work as scanner (including Apple Live Text), read QR codes, etc. Then, I am sold. An extra bonus would be to connect it to the Mac.
