It's not going to replace my normal watch, either. My normal watch has been in a drawer for the past ten years (since the battery ran out and it didn't seem worth the trouble to replace it). The Apple Watch will be on my wrist.

You could always rectify that by:

1) Not being lazy for 10 years
2) Replacing your quartz watch with an automatic

So many forward thinking concepts in this device, but without a week-long battery life (or a few days at least) it's something I definitely can't get into. And it annoys because I'd quite like one.

The more I read about the watch, the more I like it. It won't change my decision to get one, nonetheless it does make me appreciate how thoughtful Apple during the design stage. This watch is not a simple device that one come out by copying other stuffs and produce as quickly as possible. A lot of time and efforts (I am talking about years), I reckon, have been putting into make it as perfect as possible.

The battery life is not outmatched by any device with similar capabilities.
I don't care about battery life! Unlike the iPhone, I won't have to put a case on the watch, finally everyone will know I too had the big bucks for crippled technology. On the downside now I have to dump my 2nd Gen Moto X to by a phone and a case. Do you think the 6S will have untethered "always listening" capabilities, or will it still have to be plugged in?

...and if somehow it does make money - it'll be an exercise in the gullible rather than turning lead into gold.

sorry

Im pretty sure people said the same about the iPhone and the iPad, and they went on to be very successful, in fact they changed the smartphone and tablet industry's.

With each new leak of info, I am more and more convinced this is going to be the biggest product failure in the history of tech.

No. No they didn't. even though I'm sure you'll dig up a tenuous quote to say the opposite.

The iPad wasn't emulating something more practical and the iPhone wasn't either - both were doing what we couldn't do before.

...for the iWatch to work you NEED an iPhone - but you also need to charge the iWatch EVERYday!

It's all pretentious - way more pretentious than the iPhone or iPhone could ever be - regardless of sentimental bias

2 hour charge for 5 hour battery is good? The Samsung s6 charges 0-100% in a half hour and has a much bigger battery!

It's not good. It's also not a deal-breaker. Especially since we're talking rumor.

If I find myself using the Apple Watch heavily for ten hours a day, then I will buy two of them, so I always have one that is fully charged. If I find myself using it heavily for fifteen hours a day, then I'll have to get three. If I find myself using it heavily for twenty-hours a day, then I'll get four.

The most I'll have to get for a full 24 hour day of constant, heavy usage is five. That's assuming I can't charge the depleted ones while wearing the others. In that case I'll only need two. One will be on the charger, and one will be on my wrist. Now I'm completely covered to wear the watch constantly and use it heavily all the time I'm wearing it.

How many am I likely to buy? One. Just one. No more than that. I don't expect to use it heavily more than five hours in a typical day, but I have a backup plan in the unlikely case that I spend all my time using my watch heavily.

Evidence of that?
the iSamesung S6 would most probably charge 0-50% in 30 mins.....

Btw we are speaking about totally different devices, with different dimensions.

you own every Apple product ? Ur almost in every thread ....

And what's the problem?
At least he demonstrated to mostly like Apple products.
I'm questioning about the presence in any thread of users that clearly don't like ANY Apple's product. Well, I know the definition for that, but I can't say

please do - your reality distortion field is confusing mass produced electronics for swiss watchmaking.
I never said I'd remind you, I said many would.

What on earth makes you think I'm confusing mass produced electronics for Swiss watchmaking?

Perhaps you're confused if you're comparing the two. Anyone comparing Apple Watch to a high-end timepiece is missing the point by a very, very long way.

Relax, was an attempt at humour.

So MR should just be for people who bought an apple product??? lol ....

welcome to be Internet , and forums to be specific, fans of products troll each other . You don't think Apple fans troll android or windows sites???

At the end of the day it pays the bills for MR as it generates it's revenue from ads, hence they even bait the users with stories that generate debate, samsung and windows news for instance.

You might want to try the official apple discussion boards..... It's all about apple there, maybe you will feel more at home ?

I remember a very similar quote before the iPad launched....I guess the vast majority are gullible.
