I'm not sure I'm comfortable with big companies giving free stuff and money to any political party's convention.
There's a line between democracy, republic, and plutocracy. Some have advocated for decades that individual contributions be banned, in favor of an internal amount of tax money - to prevent abuse and misuse and "special favors", which would seemingly distort what a republic or democracy offers?
Conversely, anyone giving donations should understand that donating does not mean they should expect anything in return. Which could easily be the case, and "corporations are people too" so they are allowed a say, even if they can double up by doing things both as indivudal units (like Hugh) or as in a collective corporation (like Borg).
I dunno. Maybe we can all become LLCs?
One thing that both left and right wing people agree on is that this country USA is ****ed up!
Trump is the best and only possible chance we have to fix things and we need major changes. He's the only one aggressive and strong and bold enough to do something significant.
Most of you come across as racist and anti-white.
I'm waiting for the debates later this year - while each brings something good to the proverbial table, and controversy and people prefer to talk more about those, but it also almost looks like almost every candidate has flip-flopped on one issue. Google "flip-flop _____" here where _____ = candidate's name.
Nice twist on racism, which isn't a twist but no less real than other forms of racism.
This is Tim Cook's Apple. And I say this as someone who has #NeverTrump in my sig.
Sounds like you know a lore more than the rest of us. Please respond to the content in
this article, especially regarding the paragraph:
I wish Tim Cook would give American workers a chance. Instead, he's stuck in the Dickensian model of cheap, exploitable labor to make a buck.
(But
elsewhere (among other sites and what can also be inferred from the other article I linked to), he has discussed the quality of college graduates... which only makes thew abuse and defrauding of students/those who hold student loan debt) far, far worse. America is being ripped off royally and a lot of the problem goes right back to these colleges.
