If you read the fact checking web sites she has lied less than any other candidate.

Yeah, but that's not really saying much. Hillary lying to us half the time might be better than Trump, who seems to lie 3 quarters of the time, but it's still not something to brag about.

I might be defending Hillary right now, but the truth is both she and Trump are pretty **** candidates.

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with big companies giving free stuff and money to any political party's convention.

There's a line between democracy, republic, and plutocracy. Some have advocated for decades that individual contributions be banned, in favor of an internal amount of tax money - to prevent abuse and misuse and "special favors", which would seemingly distort what a republic or democracy offers?

Conversely, anyone giving donations should understand that donating does not mean they should expect anything in return. Which could easily be the case, and "corporations are people too" so they are allowed a say, even if they can double up by doing things both as indivudal units (like Hugh) or as in a collective corporation (like Borg).

I dunno. Maybe we can all become LLCs?

One thing that both left and right wing people agree on is that this country USA is ****ed up!

Trump is the best and only possible chance we have to fix things and we need major changes. He's the only one aggressive and strong and bold enough to do something significant.

Most of you come across as racist and anti-white.

I'm waiting for the debates later this year - while each brings something good to the proverbial table, and controversy and people prefer to talk more about those, but it also almost looks like almost every candidate has flip-flopped on one issue. Google "flip-flop _____" here where _____ = candidate's name.

Nice twist on racism, which isn't a twist but no less real than other forms of racism.

This is Tim Cook's Apple. And I say this as someone who has #NeverTrump in my sig.

Sounds like you know a lore more than the rest of us. Please respond to the content in this article, especially regarding the paragraph:

I wish Tim Cook would give American workers a chance. Instead, he's stuck in the Dickensian model of cheap, exploitable labor to make a buck.

(But elsewhere (among other sites and what can also be inferred from the other article I linked to), he has discussed the quality of college graduates... which only makes thew abuse and defrauding of students/those who hold student loan debt) far, far worse. America is being ripped off royally and a lot of the problem goes right back to these colleges.

That part I don't agree with. I am a Muslim myself. I however do not support the relocation of any Syrian refugees into the United States without proper vetting, which the state department have said they can't do.

When did they say that? Last I heard, the state and justice departments were working together to push these people through a long, slow vetting process that takes at least 2 years per person.

I haven't heard anything about Obama demanding to rush these people through simply because of their circumstances. Even I would think that'd be a terrible idea, all things considered.

I want to expel all illegal immigrants.
I want to end anchor babies.
I want to make English the official language and end printing or speaking of official documentation in every other language.
I think strong borders are necessary for security as well as identity.
I want a legal immigration process whereby you have to learn the language (English) and demonstrate that you accept the values of our country.

Am I racist? By everything I read these days, if you hold any of those values you are labeled as racist by leftwing nutjobs, even though I mentioned no race.
Well done. Those talking points have been carefully crafted to appeal to racist and xenophobic inclinations without actually mentioning race.

Okay, you're saying they can't do it due to lack of resources, rather than having their hands tied by the higher ups.

You're right, this is actually a pretty solid concern. There's really only so much the FBI can do in this situation, considering that Syria is now a war torn hell hole, and they can't just pop in and ask for records. So the question is, for those we can't screen as well as we'd like, do we take them in on good faith, and hope for the best, or do we assume the worst, and forbid them entry for the sake of our safety?

Much like Judge Curiel, the press and the Republican Party, the math is not being fair to Donald.

Everything that doesn't align perfectly with my world view is a leftist liberal conspiracy.

Such a big whoop-de-doo from Apple, who in 2008 donated $140K worth of technology.

Such a non-story — a fart in the wind, inhaled by the media and blowing it out their ass.

"Trump and Apple have clashed in recent months. Trump called for the boycott after Apple refused to help the FBI unlock an iPhone belonging to the San Bernardino shooters. He also threatened he would force Apple to "build their damn computers and things in this country," 9 to 5 Mac reports."

This thread reminds of one of those Youtube segments where people go around interviewing the opinions of Trump protestors

Protestor: "H..Hes racist because he wants to build a wall on the Mexico border"
Interviewer: "You realize Mexico has a wall on its south border right? Is that racist?
Protestor: "Uhhh..."

Trump is human excrement
[doublepost=1466322249][/doublepost]

There are lots of reason to be against the filth that is Trump and the American right wing

I meant that they don't need to be providing money or sponsorship to any political party.

People just don't think for themselves any longer. Sadly they will just accept the narrative. Anything they hear they believe. Trump isn't anymore racist than the average American who's pretty fed up with the direction our country is moving in. We have a severe illegal immigrant problem here and it's only getting worse.

Everything is political. If Apple donates it's political, now if they don't it's also political.

I'm not American so I don't feel like I have much right to take sides other than how the outcome might affect my country, which is to say not much.

It was certainly interesting to hear Ronald Regan's son say that he's a Sanders supporter and vehemently opposed to Trump. He said too that his father would not have supported Trump either.

We just had him screaming about an American born judge of Mexican descent being biased against him because he's a Mexican across TV and social media because he's losing his case, and your only response to this is "he's not really racist, people are just sheeple"?

We have a severe illegal immigrant problem here and it's only getting worse.

Well, it's not great, but it has been getting better over the last 5 years, with the illegal population having shrunk by over a million people.

Tim, can you please stop messing with the political **** and release the upgrades Mac Pro?

Tim is very welcome to talk about politics that greatly affect him. I am also happy to have him championing my freedoms as well.

But with that said, I don't think -any- company should be allow to contribute money to politics. Only individuals.

I'm not a trump guy, but you should really think twice about the cute little #nevertrump hash tag. It screams "I know nothing about either candidates so let's go with the in hashtag". Know your facts about H. Clinton before you vote, it's all I ask.

I'm not a trump supporter, but no I don't feel he is racist at all. Know all your faces about Clinton which clearly you do not. She's a much bigger racist

I don't know if he's personally racist, but he's certainly playing that card for all its worth. It's rare for him to say anything outright, but he plucks those nerves with wild abandon.

Hillary could be the most racist person on the face of the earth for all I know, but at least she's basing her campaign around policy, rather than populist rhetoric.

Are you happy with the current administration? Are you happy with Obama and his policies ? Cause it will only be the same song and dance with Hillary.

She's the last person I want to run the country. And again I'm not a trump guy.
[doublepost=1466357773][/doublepost]I urge everyone to actually do their own research and not just listen to the main stream narrative.

Not 100%, no. Overall, Obama hasn't been all that much different than Bush, give or take a few progressive social issues here and there.

To me, Hillary is more of the same old BS we've been building upon since Reagan, perhaps representing it's ultimate culmination. In a saner world, I wouldn't vote for her. But between her and Trump? Especially when you consider his propensity towards rabble rousing and playing against populist fears for easy votes?

Well, better the devil you know, right?

I'm not sure who's worse, but I have no issues taking my chances with Trump. Hillary is just plain ****ing evil. Do the research
