The US government represents everyone, including large corporations.
The US government is "supposed" to represent everyone... and therein lies the challenge.

With a dolt like Hussein who constantly, incessantly spews vitriol at "Republicans" we're no longer enjoying the benefits of a Democracy. Bush certainly had his weaknesses and failed in plenty of areas, but I don't remember any president who repeatedly, hammered away at the other party like Hussein.

Hussein The Great Divider!

The one person at the top charged with running the country, leading, inspiring the parties to cooperate, being a dignitary, being presidential.

Hussein the screw up

Wrong..

In 2016 its the media. Facebook, IG, Twitter, Youtube, Music, TV, Movies.

That is where you are wrong. The blame game narrative today is to focus attention away from personal responsibility. And instead to excuse oneself by blaming social media, Hollywood... Etc.

YOU are your children's biggest role model IF you be it and stop blaming social media for their behavior.

There is an old saying: people who condemn the next generation forget where that generation came from.

The last thing I want to see on the Macrumors main page is a photo of trump's face.

You don't like orange people? So racist :p

I am normaly an Apple fan, but this seems off to me. As a company, they should either stay out all together or provide support both ways to stay as nuetral as possible. Even with someone like Trump (which I am not a fan of), they should realize that there are way more people running for offices at various levels. To cut off an entire party and favor the other sends a very strong message and would seem to put Apple clearly in one camp. This is very dangerous because it has the potential to alienate people from the other camp. I think either Tim should reconsider or make it clear that they will not be donating to either side. Anything else I think is problematic for Apple.

I know, because the lifestyle of women and minorities is so unfair in the U.S.

Another example of crybaby-ness from the United States' society.

If we weren't a bunch of fat cry babies on public assistance here who were actually educated and weren't highly resistant to change, the rest of the world would actually respect us.

Thanks Tim for proving my point. Grow some testicles, loser.

Yes, it can. Everything you wrote reads like it came right out of the D playbook.

You need to examine your own biases and realize you are being played just like the people you describe as being played, just by the other side.

I want to expel all illegal immigrants.
I want to end anchor babies.
I want to make English the official language and end printing or speaking of official documentation in every other language.
I think strong borders are necessary for security as well as identity.
I want a legal immigration process whereby you have to learn the language (English) and demonstrate that you accept the values of our country.

Am I racist? By everything I read these days, if you hold any of those values you are labeled as racist by leftwing nutjobs, even though I mentioned no race.

Yes.
You are DEFINITELY racist.
You are the type of tea party nutjob (if I may borrow your word) that I literally would not stand in the company of in ANY circumstance. I'd leave a party if you were there (jk, I'd NEVER be at a party that someone like you would be welcome!).
Why don't you try visiting Manhattan, usually considered the "embodiment of America"? You literally could not go a day in that city without hearing myriad languages... it gives the city life & vibrancy! It sucks that people like you want to destroy the beauty of that diversity; I'm only glad that people with as backwards thinking as you are in the minority.
Please.
Dictate language spoken?? Lol. Fascist much?

Apple never donated to Adolf Hitler when he was up for Chancellor of Germany either. So it's no surprise they also withhold from Trump.

If you ask Libyans who is more like Hitler, I bet they will say Hillary instead of trump. The woman that gave Libyans Isis.

Why are these idiots giving money to the GOP regardless of Trump being there? I guess tax breaks are worth more than your soul, Mr. Cook?

Preach, brother! If it were up to me, I'd move to a country that doesn't allow ANY immigrants in!
Agreed. The Native Americans should have slaughtered every single immigrant that breached the shores of North America.

More social conditioning from the liberal left wing political agenda.

Why don't any conservatives have any socially influential technology empires and entertainment monopolies?

I guess they want to turn off half the world to buying their products.

The attempt at social brainwashing doesnt fool me and it strikes me as unprofessional from a tech company. They have lost a lot of my respect due to inappropriate political agendas.

Yeah it's a shame Apple won't donate to the Klu Klux Klan, the Aryan Nation, or white power groups.

One thing that both left and right wing people agree on is that this country USA is ****ed up!

Trump is the best and only possible chance we have to fix things and we need major changes. He's the only one aggressive and strong and bold enough to do something significant.

What is your problem?

Do you realize how cliche your attitude is? Its people like you who have disgusting outrage and overreaction that helped get him so much support anyway. Nobody takes over reactionary people like you serious.

Most of you come across as racist and anti-white.

Do you have any tips on keeping white robes so clean?

Tim Cook doesn't hand out the personal phone number of his rivals. Or take every opportunity to brag about how rich he is. Or throw a hissy fit every time the media says something mean about him. Or mock war veterans and people with cerebral palsy. Or congratulate himself after 49 people were killed.

Tim Cook is not a sociopath. Trump is.

Tim Cook is a modern day plantation master with thousands of Chinese slaves that get worked so hard they fling themselves off buildings to escape.

Ain't no saints in this lifetime.

Guess the GOP Delegates won't all be standing up at ten minutes before the hour? Other than that, what's the BFD?

The fanaticism of the far left is really distancing itself from traditional liberal values. It's actually quite something watching so many people become precisely that which they claim to hate. They're becoming violent, intolerant, hateful, and rejecting facts and reason.

Evidence, logic, and facts be darned. As a liberal of the traditional meaning, I refuse to give up those elements.

I don't know why anyone thinks Hillary is any better. 20% of her campaign funding comes from Saudi royalty -- and I think we all know how illiberal they can be, especially towards LGBT and women's rights.

I am a white, male conservative who has voted Republican for 36 years. When I read a post or hear a comment from anyone who thinks that Donald Trump could be anything other than disastrous and dangerous as POTUS I weep for our future.

Thats just your opinion. Half the country doesnt agree with you.

You and other business and people in general should respect that fact.

Not half the country. To his credit, Trump consolidated a voting bloc while his opponents split the remainder. But more like 30-40% of 30 million GOP primary voters, which is about 3.5% of the country. Not 50%, 3.5%.

This is why TC needs to shut up and get out of dodge when it comes to politics. At some point , someone, who gets fed up with this and is much much better at playing "politics" is going to have a field day with what apple does and says.

I think there might be a touch of hubris. He's sitting on strings of success stories and more money than most nations have. It's hard for that not to go to your head.

But inevitably someone is going to pop up that does play this game better than Tim Cook who will then be sidetracked defending Apple's business practices and his own personal politics. That's just not something any CEO should want on a long enough timeline.

Apparently Apple's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect for people ends when they don't like your politics... Good to know.... smh...

I happen to know something about Trump and here is the problem. The anti diversity, anti minority, anti inclusion, and anti respect attributed to Trump is really just media propaganda by extreme political hacks. This is an excuse by Apple to look good to to certain voters. Well I stood up and look notice also and will not be supporting Apple in the future. Now I will probably also be called racist, homophobic, etc., but I have close family that sleep with same sex partners and close friends that are minorities. Its time people started to cut through the BS and lies before taking a stand, but it seems we have a bit ignorance at Apple.

Now I understand why they are not interested in producing quality computers any more. Its more about personal lifestyle than fair and equal support for all customers.

Apple is on the right side of history because becoming the most valuable company in the world and making hundreds of billions of dollars win out every time. This was all under Steve Jobs, and he never involved Apple in politics like Tim Cook does.

What do you mean "all under Steve Jobs"? If money is your end-all-be-all, you should be quite happy with Tim Cook, as Apple's revenue is twice what it ever was under Steve :) - who by the way was happy to dine with Barack Obama to change his views on manufacturing, tech education, work visas, etc. In any case, Trump has (half-heartedly) called for a boycott of Apple products. You think Steve would send $100,000+ of free stuff to the convention to elect a presidential candidate who called for an Apple boycott?

I remember when republicans refused to do anything the day oboma was elected. they sat around and accomplished almost nothing getting the rep of the most useless congress in recent times. calling him racist names treating him like less then a president. trying to ban obomacare over and over and over and over and over The names they called the president the racism was and is amazing. So why not take your blinders off and look how republicans treated him. Wait can't do that can you?

When it comes to Trump, it's no longer just a political disagreement. The man is at best an ignorant bafoon.

Really, somehow being the baboon that he is has put him in a pretty good position in life. How come you are not positioned to be the next President?

BYW, people call people names when they do not have anything logical or useful to say.
