This might make sense time-wise, but it's huge step in the wrong direction in terms of customer experience.
Aaaaaand you would know this how? So you know better than APPLE about customer experience

This whole choosing, buying and setup process looks convoluted to me. This has a lot of potential to backfire. There a lot of surprises for the uninformed average joe like the necessity of an iPhone for the watch to work or that stainless steel and gold watch buyers get special assistance, which the "poor" sportwach buyer doesn't get it. I am still interested in a silver Sports Watch with a black band (is this even possible?!), but i will wait until this launch mess is over.
No, silver sports + black strap isn't possible at launch.
And different CS levels aren't new. If you go into a car dealership looking to buy a ferarri you're going to get more attention than if you're trying to buy a ford fiesta. Just how it is.
Tim Cook just said they treat all their customers the same, must mean badly. Man I can't believe that price, someone is sure making a pile of money, although I don't think you're missing out on anything.Jesus I just looked at the UK pricing, not that I want one, just wanted to see if the usual $-£ translation is in full effect... For the 42mm Stainless Steel you'll be paying £600! ($890). Haha, I think I'll definitely be giving this a miss.
Wearable is the future. OSX, Macs, and iPhone will not live forever.Just cancel this stupid product. Divert the future billions you will waste to improving OSX, Macs, and iPhone.
You do realise that there are already plenty of watchbands out there that are not working with predetermined buckle holes or are only adjustable by removing/adding links? Just as an example:It's taken humanity hundreds of years to come out with a magnetic watch band. If this product fails, at least we will have watch bands that actually fit our wrists instead of having a watchband that's in-between a link or buckle hole.
I like Apple I really do, but all of these "rumors" I'm hearing is just pulling me closer and closer to wanting an Android Wear. It's as if they keep restricting what people may want and aside from normal Apple price gouging.
If you're paying £10,000 for a single watch, this would be the least I'd expect. Weak move Apple.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the sport Apple Watch is not compatible with non-sport bands.
If you'll be buying the 10,000 dollar watch, you'll be getting it at your exclusive retailer that probably knows you by name and they'll be catering to your needs. To put it another way, you'll not be going to an apple store with the unwashed masses to buy a 10,000+ dollar watch
