reachability is dumb to begin with. With phones so big put a big clock or something this is where Apple really needs to copy Android and let us arrange our icons as we see fit and let us put a clock weather or stock ticker or something in the space we can't reach. It ain't rocket science.

Considering the mammoth size of the plus models...it’s a major and useful feature For people who don’t have basketball player sized hands. This bug was one of my top 3 annoyances of iOS 11.
You mean, one of your biggest annoyances of the Plus models. Reachability is just a software hack to partially compensate for a terrible ergonomic design.

Have you tried rebooting your iPhone? I've had the exact same issue when I installed iOS 11.1 beta 2 yesterday, and rebooting my device fixed the issue. As well as some other things that made it feel like it was iOS 11.0 beta 1. :p

Thanks! Rebooting fixed it! So many problems over the years fixed with a reboot. I should have thought of trying that....

Not many issues here... some lock ups.... FB app kicking me out now and then but not sure if that's the iOS or FB app. I do find it frustrating that when I turn off wifi in the command center it pops back on.... If I wanted it on I'd turn it on.

I noticed today that reachabity by double tapping home isn’t working at all anymore period. I that the bug? Extremely annoying on a plus device.
They’ll call it a “get ready for iPhone X!” Feature.

I have the same problem. iOS 11 is crapware. But keep innovating, Apple!

I think Apple is doing better since they have switched to having Public beta programs. What sucks though, is that many people decide to complain on sites like this, as opposed to using the Feedback process designed into the OS to send to Apple.
Do you have any numbers from Apple's feedback process to draw that conclusion?

Why are numbers needed?

A nebulous question. But perhaps we can think about it logically.

Apple provides a direct feedback system to pipe in feedback, snapshot data of a situation, as well as context to a perceived bug to their developers. Compare that to an online forum, from a different company that typically contains only one of those items, the complaint, often lacking context and other helpful features.

::Edit::

Sorry completely missed the context of the question. I don’t have direct numbers, but listening to podcasts, discussing issues with people on here, and working with friends, not many even know about the feedback system, or, think it takes too much time to use it.

Perhaps it is widely used, but I believe (again no facts) people chose to vent on forums, Twitter, or YouTube comments, more than using an actual feedback system.

Ah, so it is your opinion. Fair enough. But please don't make it sound like a fact and then go on to use that "fact" as the basis of a complaint.

I didn’t say it was a fact, it was your interpretation, but I can see how you thought that based on my wording.

More on topic, I wished their bug reporting system was more streamlined and acted like a commenting system. They can still include snapshot data behind the scenes, perhaps giving users a popup asking if it is okay to send the data to Apple, after they put in their comment.

It is nice that Apple is being a touch more transparent (or is it just Craig?), it feels like the only person that really responded to email (in the past) was Jobs, and sometimes Schiller.

That's quite funny how many people says that iOS is superior to Android, while you can use Android 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 without any visible bugs (maybe there are some, hidden deep in rarely used features, but nothing like you describe here for iOS, or like in the article). Looks like Google's QA team is way better after all, and Android is way more polished OS...
Don’t kid yourself. I have personally had Android devices that had many more bugs/inconsistencies on their initial release. It doesn’t matter which company it is, there will always be problems.

It would be better for them to take into account the messages of the beta testers because some have put the problem back before the final release of iOS 11

Even with the regular iPhones I loved the feature because I have small hands. I didn’t read the whole thing but reachability isn’t working at all on my phone. I miss it.
