Apple hasn't had layoffs in a long time..maybe its a good idea to fire a ton of the BLOAT that works there, they seem not do anything...

WTF do these teams do with their time? It takes 10 years to ship a new mouse?

So, is Mac gaming in a sorry state because Apple didn’t want to change the mouse design, or is the mouse design as it is because Mac gaming is in a sorry state? 😆

I’m sure the MM has its uses, particularly for users that use gestures on it, but it’s hard to argue it’s good “all around” for all grip styles and applications.

I bought one with my 2019 Mac Pro - never used it - went with a logitech G502 - has multiple programmable buttons - real fast copy paste and back forward on internet…

I had the original Magic Mouse with the scroll ball that clogged and stopped working. I tried the upside down charging Magic Mouse but found it ergonomically uncomfortable. I now use a Logitech Triathalon that serves both personal and work computers with a switching button on top and an app to use both without the need to ever press it anyway. Regrettably the MX Master was victim of a drink spill, and I couldn’t justify the expense for another one.

For keyboard I still use the MX Master that came in the set - for low profile it’s great. Comfortable to use, multi-device, backlit, and strong battery life. I find the Apple Magic Keyboard ergonomically less enjoyable, and with too little key travel for prolonged typing without finger fatigue.

They could make the bottom of the mouse MagSafe charger compatible..

I’d rather an iPad Air style Touch ID button somewhere on the side of the mouse and trackpad

My hand orthopaedist told me to get a Logi MX Vertical for my wrist pain. I haven't had any since I switched. Trackballs are good too, but the MX Vertical is great. They're often on sale refurb as well.

word was Tim has ditched his for a Logitech

Either way it's probably wise to hold of pulling the trigger on the redesigned one until Apple has ironed the kinks out, the next gen should be dropping around 2041.
Its the sole reason he initiated a redesign cause it was so d f good to use the MX.

My main concern is the fact that you cannot progressively change a single click to a double-click. That is: one finger down, separately add a second finger for two down - it does not work.

Perhaps the reason they don't care is the main time I've used this gesture is gaming: something Apple is actively hostile toward. But though it may be a rare gesture, you don't expect your "magic" device to simply not do what it is supposed to.

Am I the only person who hates those gargantuan Logitech mouses? The MX Master 3 looks hideous. I have a G703 that I don't use because it's like trying to draw with a potato. I much prefer my Razer Atheris. It's much more compact and comfortable.

The Logi will be tough to beat but literally anything is better than the current MM. I just replaced my parents Apple keyboard and mouse with the MX products because their Apple keyboard battery swelled. The thing they can't stop talking about is the MX mouse and how much better it feels.
I still rely on the Logitech Wired G502 Hero mainly, it's very light and ergonomic, it can be used for anything including gaming where you need precise DPI speed tweaks. Also the spinning wheel is handy for moving vertically slow or extremely fast for scrolling web content. Apples Magic Mouse you need to constantly move it on a surface comparably. Also the cord is extremely flexible and mesh protected. Way better at $30 on sale when I bought a couple for less than the $79 list. Note no G Hub issues with MacOS betas to current release, as that software is updated frequently. The wireless version is also available currently at $73 USD.
