It just needs 1080, which it should have had two years ago...
And what what kind of battery life would it have had two years ago?

Meant to say:
I'm not sure even the current models offer that... As in, the current Macbook air doesn't have a thunderbolt bolt port, which is funny because Apple moved the rest of their lineup away from firewire when they introduced thunderbolt. And since the macbook air is essentially their mainstream notebook offering (and I base that from how it is the only macbook that does not carry the "pro" label), you'd think apple would include it in effort to get as many hands on it as possible. But I guess if your just a consumer there is no need for all those "confusing" ports.
I'm waiting for the model with no ports, no lid, no screen, no keyboard and no internals.
Wait, is it even possible for multiple USB-C connectors on the same device to draw power? I wouldn't think so, given how they'd need to be wired to the power circuitry. And if not, that would mean that devices which use the connector for power are destined to only have one on the device (unfortunate), or otherwise have multiple plugs, with one just being labeled differently (confusing).
Also since it's the same connector on both ends, what would happen if you plugged both sides into devices that can both draw and supply power?
Dude, it would take you about 30 seconds to google current Macbook Air specs, which would tell you that every MacBook Air comes with a Thunderbolt port. But no, you'd rather spend your time typing paragraphs of misinformed nonsense..
12 is the new 11?
Macbook design needs to change imo. The aluminium design has been around since 2006, its the new ThinkPad!
I wish they could re-lease colored ones like the original '99 ibooks. I don't have money to buy them, but if i did I would.
What is difficult to understand? It is the evolution of a well-established product.
Power users in this thread are viewing an entry-level notebook through their speeds and feeds goggles. People say that it will only be good for browsing the web and sending e-mails - great, because that's exactly the audience that it is aimed at. The MacBook Pro line exists for those with more involved use cases.
It's also for the cooling, so it does make sense.
The problem is that these "features" end up making their way to the pro models. I bought a cMBP before they went extinct simply because I use the dvd drive and Ethernet port and found it pointless to make it thinner so I can just carry around an accessory to reenable a feature. I'd rather have all the features in one box instead of having to deal with dongles and extra wires. Also, had a 17" model still been available I would have bought that. I wanted a retina screen and a damn blu-ray drive, but I just couldn't make do with the sacrifices for the retina. My current Macbookpro might just be the last Mac I buy honestly.
Until she tries to plug her current devices in and finds they won't fit.
That's when you become tech support!
It's suppose to be fanless using the new Intel chips so I don't think a cooling grill would help.
I not sure even the current models offer that... Funny since apple tout's thunderbolt but doesn't include it in what is essentially their mainstream macbook...
