We don't hate this "big bulky phone" you speak of. It will be just about the same physical size of a iPhone 8 Plus with a bigger screen going to the edge. Lots people will like that. If you don't stick with the smaller iPhone X size.
You seem the fail to realize that in a lot of the world and for a lot of people in the US the phone is there primary computer so a bigger screen is a huge plus to them.
People don't have a problem caring around a phone the size of a iPhone 8 Plus thats clear by the number of sales the plus size phones have done.
Well, I have to believe you are in the minority. I have never met a single person (and I deal with the public a lot) that has not echoed what the sentiment that they hate the big bulky size of the Plus. When your alternate choice is "too small", you'll put up with the bulk. But that doesn’t mean it’s a great form factor... its just the lesser of two evils.
Are you actually saying you would PREFER the current iPhone 8 plus size over a bezel-less version? If you are, then no need to continue the conversation as there is no logic to your argument. As far as filling the nitch between iPhone and iPad... sure... some of you freaks wanna carry around a hughmungo phone in your pocket... go for it. Make a third size for those people. Hell, why not just add a phone function to the iPad mini?
But for the rest of us, the iPhone X screen in its current state is too small. They disingenuously tout its "bigger than the plus screen size"... but that’s a lie. Its virtually the same as the iPhone 6,7,8... just a half in longer. The "perfect phone size" is what I described... a bezel-less iPhone 8 Plus.

There was a cool song that came out when "antennagagate" was a thing.... a simple change of a few words and it fits your future dilemma.... If you don't want an iPhone x plus (don't buy it) if you bought one and you don't like it (bring it back)..... I didn't get the X for this specific reason... I LOVE huge phones and was just waiting for them to make a bigger version. To each their own I say..... I know you're going to say why do the best parts go in the bigger phones.....Who knows?? I buy the big phones so honestly I don't care. If they put the best in the smaller phones I can honestly say I don't think it would bother me but I'll probably never need to find out.... as I buy the bigger phones
Think you missed the point. I owned the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 plus, and to get the latest and greatest... bought the iPhone X. I don't want less screen real-estate... I want less bulk. You don't LOVE the bulk... you LOVE the screen size. Who wouldn’t want the same big screen in a smaller form factor? Nobody, thats who. Unless you LOVE walking around with a ridiculous brick in your front pocket all the time.

I love everything about the 8+ other than the screen is too small. Don't act like you speak for everyone when you are literally the only person on the internet saying "Keep the 16:9 screen but chop off the bezels." It's like you're living in an alternate reality version of 2015.
I'm gonna bet I speak for more people than you do. There's a reason cars don't have huge overhangs in the front and rear anymore. Because they're ridiculous and serve no purpose. Who in their right mind wants to carry around a phone with large bezels? Are you into flight/driving simulators and need something to hold on to while you play games?!

Say what? I enjoyed the Plus sized model for years and I miss the size even when using my iPhone X. This is exactly what I want, I want the Plus models size with as large a display they can possibly fit!
You missed the size of the SCREEN or the size of the PHONE? As mentioned... I too, miss the size of the screen. The X is too small. I'm calling for a bezel-less phone the size of the iPhone 8 plus.
What is the problem here? Is this mic on?
[doublepost=1519755167][/doublepost]
I agree 100% but isn't that already what the iPhone X is? (Pretty much) If they do what you mentioned, then it would be an iPhone X with a slightly wider frame for the wider screen dimension. I suppose with what you're saying, that phone would actually be shorter then the iPhone X by the amount the bottom bezel of the iPhone 8 plus takes up.
Not pretty much. Apple lied. They implied in the presentations that the screen is larger than the iPhone Plus. Its not. Not by a long shot. Its just slightly LONGER (one direction) than the regular iPhone 8. And they're cheating with the numbers. They're measuring it like a TV... corner to corner diagonally. Problem with that is they aren't taking into account he dead space where the front facing cameras and face detectors are. They're also not taking into account the dead space on the other end where the software has to allow for the swiping. So when you take both of those areas out... its about the same damn size as a regular iPhone 8. Its ********. So this is why I am cheerleading to deaf ears that simply take the iPhone 8 PLUS screen...and make it bezel-less. I want to turn my iPhone X sideways and get all the same perks you get with an iPhone 8 Plus. You get none of that because its TOO SMALL!

You are incorrect.
It just so happens I want an iPhone the size of an iPad mini 4.[/QUOTE]
There's always one.
[doublepost=1519755320][/doublepost]
I for one DO want a large bezelless iPhone. The screen will be incredible!
Lets do three! Small, Medium, Large!
[doublepost=1519755376][/doublepost]
The iPhone X already does this more or less. It has a screen the size (total area) of the 'Plus' phones in a body almost the same size as the iPhone 6/7/8. Unless you meant a screen with the width of the 'Plus' phone's screen. But you won't be able to fit that into an iPhone 6/7/8 outline (the current 'Plus' screen is 68.4 mm wide, the 'non-Plus' iPhone is only 67.1 mm wide and you still need about two millimetres of bezel for technical reasons, plus another 2 mm on each side for the rounded edge).
Comparing the iPhone 6/7/8 with the iPhone X we have a screen 58.4 mm wide in a body that is 67.1 mm wide in the former and a 62.4 mm screen in a 70.9 mm wide body. The total side bezel (including the rounded edge) thus only got 0.1 mm thinner.
See reply above. It's a lie.

Yea I can't believe they didn't do that. I can't believe it didn't cost $999 and wasn't called the iPhone X.
They didn't. Take a lap.
[doublepost=1519755484][/doublepost]
Not me, iphone Plus all screen would be AWESOME!
[doublepost=1519673573][/doublepost]
That’s what I.... ah, forget it.
