hang on a second... apple stock downgraded as a result of nothing more than a rumour of a phone that wont launch for another year's time which nobody ever admitted was a thing... that now wont exist even though it never did...

A rumoured device that no one has ever seen has been rumoured to have been cancelled lol.. Is this just like Apples mythical TV everyone swore blind was coming.. vapourware, that all it is, is vapourware.

The charging mat’s vapourware. Apple said it was coming and it didn’t arrive. This is just the imaginings of random folks that people with money to invest listen to for some reason.
I feel badly for those who were waiting for this phone. But it never held any appeal for me - for either practical or aesthetic reasons. This is just the latest shoe to drop in the RAM/memory crisis. And we’re nowhere near done yet.
And now Lee can say, “I broke the news FIRST on “the imagined thing remaining imaginary!”

Well, this "analyst" just created an opportunity to buy discounted apple shares. Seems silly to downgrade a stock based on rumors in the supply chain. For all we know, Apple switched suppliers.

There’s VERY little that these folks are writing (that’s outside of what anyone following Apple could guess, like ‘new iPhones this year’) that has any basis in reality anymore. AppleTrack, which used to keep track of how accurate rumors are has seen so much attention paid to folks that make up stuff about Apple, that they’ve joined them!

Well this sucks. I hate the look of the current pros and didn't get a new phone last year for the first time in a decade. I was really looking forward to this.
I'm also surprised to see the naysayers in this thread who instantly assume they know what such a phone would look like.

And that’s how you know they don’t have any information from any suppliers or any info from Apple. This would be considered stock manipulation if it could be shown they had any connection to actual data. As it is, making up stuff is just making up stuff and if people listen to you, that’s on them. 🙂

Okay, that was a surprise. Maybe iPod Max with gigantic physical hard drive instead? Very on trend.
They did that a little while ago. Someone said, “A thing is not happening”… a thing Gurman had said IS happening, so Gurman immediately posted that “it’s still happening” and followed that with, “but it might not happen”. Or maybe it was the reverse. Either way, you got a real sense of Gurman seething that someone was taking away the thing he’d be counting on for future made up stories… but knowing it didn’t REALLY exist, he couldn’t just go into a corner and go “Just wait, you’ll see!” so had to do a bit of backpedaling.
