It may look bad if they do this now, and sell a load of computers, and then bring out a brand new one a month later. That said, it may help to shift a load of extra stock before they bring out a revision.I know this may sound stupid but do you think they will update the Macbooks during the back to school or do you think they will update to kick off or after it ends?

I think in the past the new ipods have always come out at the end of the promotion and were excluded, but I can't remember if computer models were handled similarly, ie excluded from the promotion.
I second the question about refurbs. Does anyone know if they're ever eligible?
because we're headed for [already in] a recession so anything they can do to up sales in general . . .

On topic, Has any apple commercial had an actual location? They are usually black/white backgrounds, or the colored ones in the iPod commercials.

Haha. I did...How is that on topic? Did you mean to post that in the Manhattan Store commercial thread?
Arn, Is this FOR SURE going to happen on June 3rd?? I ask because I just bought my mom a new macbook pro this morning (you posted the story later). I wan't the nano but my mom wants her computer ASAP. My mom said I could cancel it as long as this is for sure going to happen, should I????
the fact that the article says this is going to be "big" makes me think theyre giving out free iPod touches instead of nanos, thinking that the average person will spend over $50 on apps from the new app store.
what kind of idiots rating this post negative??!!
I just can't understand !!![]()
so...can you use this promotion with a student discount? or is this the actual student discount?
