umm i wouldnt see why not...I mean they have the same things almost everywhere so why not.

but I went to the uk store and they have a promotion where you buy a mac get a free printer($99 Rebate) and the US store has it so why not i would guess so

its back to school promo... still there is written for college students... :confused::confused:

Thanks for the answear... It sounds like i could happen. I may be out to buy 2 new laptops this summer, so it would really count for alot.

Does anyone know this from experience?
 
dont buy 2laptops if u dont really need the 2nd one...
this is a promo each year will happen....

Yea i know. But i would buy them regardless of the promo... I need one for me, and one for my girl ;)
 
Here in Singapore, there were several promotions going on last year.

One of the promotions was getting a free Nano upon purchasing a Macbook while the other was a free XBOX 360 if you were to purchase an MBP.

The current promotion: If one were to suscribe to broadband internet in Singapore, one would get:

1) Free Ipod touch or
2) Free Macbook or
3) A promotion for the Air (Special price at USD700)

So yup...promotions exists internationally.Depending on your country, they may have other kinds of attractive promotions

In the UK last year it was a free 4GB Nano with a macbook or better. Not quite as good as the american one, but i hope they still have the money off a printer offer this year too!
 
You can get your education discount in the store. Just show your school ID or a copy of your class schedule. I had an old ID because I haven't taken taken a physical class since 2006, all my other ones have been online, and they still allowed me to use it. That may not be true of every associate, though, but it's worth a shot if you don't have a current ID but are still in school.

I'm not sure what the promo would be if it wasn't for iPods.

And I got my MBP in June after they had a big update, and the promo was going on at that time. I didn't get the free iPod since I got my MBP for free (I was having problems with my PB so they just exchanged it for me) but I do remember them having it when I went in to the store. So there's a good chance the new one will come out in June.
 
Wow, last time around the UK's Edu promotion didn't start until October if I remember right. I take it this promo only applies to the US.
 
argh...i just bought a macbook pro...but i only paid £200, my dad foot the rest of the bill :p:p
i wouldnt have minded an extra ipod for free.
 
I was going to buy a MacBook a few weeks ago, but the kind gentlemen at the IlliniAppleCenter informed me that it'd be wise to wait until the back to school promo.

However, they didn't know when it would be, so what is June 3rd based on? The article doesn't cite any sources, even if the source is just "reliable sources." Is it just a guess based on past promos and the fact that Apple likes to announce things on Tuesday?
 
Good timing as I have to buy a macbook for my wife. :) Maybe if the promo is good I'll jump and get her the AIR :apple: She never uses discs and mostly is just pure web surfing and some photo resizing to post on the web. That would be a good way to justify my idea to buy the 30" ACD :D
 
So completely didn't know that this back to school promo occurred every summer and so I just bought a Macbook (like I haven't even gotten it yet)...Does anyone know if I would be able to do the rebate with the iPod (or whatever) and Macbook on different orders?

This sucks if I can't.

Is this their way to really clear as many as they could before the new ones comes out? Would this deal be applied to newer laptops that may come out in July or so?
