Not sure how you equate listening to albums purchased a long time ago to support, but you do you. Not to mention you can find unsavory things about a great many musicians. John Lennon was self-admittedly abusive towards his first wife, but I'm still going to listen to the Beatles. 🤷‍♂️
I'm not going to expound further and risk a message from Weasleboy except to say Roger Waters is more than unsavory.

You are right however that there are scumbags everywhere in life. Hell I still listen to old Bill Cosby albums and play World of Warcraft.

The new design is interesting, I would need to see it in person to fully judge it.
I just visited the Tysons Corner store a few days ago. I have mixed feelings about the design. All of the wood is beautiful, but it also makes the space feel dark and small, a bit claustrophobic even. It doesn’t have that open/airy feeling of the old store design. This new design seems more appropriate for a cocktail lounge or bougie coffee shop in my opinion. The old design highlighted the products better and felt more “retail” to me.

It looks great, but I am not a fan the Apple Store random service approach vs systematic queuing. It's all fine when the stores are quiet. However, when they are busy, it can be a nightmare to get service. Getting help becomes more about luck than anything else. It can be the same feeling of helplessness as I feel in countries where people don't queue and it's about who shoves or shouts the loudest.
Everyone I know who isn’t a hardcore Apple fan hates shopping at the Apple Store. It’s always disorganized. They always have a lot of employees on the floor, but you never know who to approach and employees often seem distracted. I just ordered something for pickup the other day and it took forever to get my stuff. A simple pickup should be very quick. I avoid buying anything from the Apple Store unless absolutely necessary. I enjoy browsing, but the shopping experience is not good and hasn’t been for years. The decentralized approach is an absolute mess unless, as you say, the store is quiet. Then it’s fine. Getting rid of the Genius Bar was also a terrible idea.

Apple moves into one of the filming locations from 1984. How ironic.

"Nineteen Eighty-Four, 1984 … and the location of a dystopian world in Michael Radford’s adaptation of the 1949 novel."

if you're paying £4-to-12m for a flat, I don't think it's unlikely you'll probably own at least one (expensive) car if not more, and expect some kind of underground parking to park it for out-of-town usage where public transport drops off.
I live (occasionally) in a flat not too far from Battersea (further East) and the building I'm in also has flats going up to the low millions. There's underground parking for every flat, including my "cheap" one. Most of the car park is empty. We're not allowed to sublet and it adds a noticeable amount to the yearly charges. I wish they hadn't built the car park at all, but it's a building from around 25 years ago where everyone thought it necessary.

Also, especially in the new Battersea development, many purchasers are just money laundering, err I mean foreign investors, who don't live there and either leave the place empty or rent it out.

Wow, so deep.

In London, almost no one is allowed to medium-longterm sublet as cheap rent council flats were often fraudulently obtained then sublet at huge markups, so that's not unusual on the freeholders deeds obligations.

There are also loads of flats without parking in that area, so just move to one without underground parking, if you want to cut unnecessary costs.

Many of those 'investors' will be Chinese, as culturally they prefer to leave their investment flats empty rather than renting them out. Crazy leaving money on the table, but they don't want the hassle of renting for income, redecorating, and re-investing in the property. Just hold for a few years or more, see the capital appreciation, then cash out and retire. Great for Londoners, obvs. 🙄
