AirPods stay absolutely fine in my ears on my runs. Have used them since day one and I have yet to have them fall off my ears. Not to mention they are so light that I don't even feel them being in my ears if it wasn't for the music.

Same with me and everyone else I know that has them...

These are gonna be the workout version of the airpods I hope. I used to workout and run with my apple earbuds and I ruined them cause I sweat so much.

The plot thickens! Wow. Already ordered the new $159 Pods. I'd expect these to be more pricey anyway.

I'll wait and see what these feel like. In ear earphones tend to irritate my ears, so the airpods work great for me. I just wish they isolated notice better.

Different people have different ideas of fit. For example, hip-hop gangstas wearing sagging jeans with their butts hanging out may think those jeans fit well. Since the jeans are not completely on the floor, the people wearing them could say that technically they have not fallen off.

Why are you describing people as hip-hop gangstas that’s a disgusting derogatory statement

What's stopping apple from offering Airpods in this form factor as an alternative and call them Active Airpods or something similar. Beats branding seem redundant especially since Apple branding is much more recognizable and perceived to be more premium.
What you say is not true on the street....you likely live in a non-urban (yes that is what I mean) environment. The beats brand surpasses apple in anything sound related in that population. Case in point, at the gym ALL of the yuppies proudly wear their airpods, the buppies, to a person, have Beats.

Can someone explain what the purpose was of Apple buying Beats that they couldn't design on their own?
What is the return on investment (ROI) on the $ 3 billion purchase? Curated this or curated that was very big in the beginning had died out in conversations also.
So what did Apple really gain by Beats?

Mine fall out constantly. At my desk, walking and almost in the toilet a couple times when I looked down lol

If after inserting the AirPod in one ear and just sitting still, the AirPod gradually turns and loosens until it is sitting precipitously outside of the ear canal and requiring the wearer to repeatedly nudge it back to the original position, do we count this as fitting or not? Staying in or not? "But technically, it didn't fall to the ground..."

Maybe they will finally be able to withstand a workout without flooding the control switch after a few drops of sweat. I have a dedicated container of rice for my Powerbeats3 to combat the stupid flashing light moisture errors.

Powerbeats are trash. Mine worked for 1 year then just stopped. Look at the Amazon reviews for these, many similar experiences and many 1 star reviews. For what they cost, buy something more reliable.

mine work great, sound excellent (aac with apple music), one touch connect is awesome. sorry you did not get the same experience. you could try samsung airbuds, but they have rated poorly already - drop a lot of connections. there is a lot of choice out there. I never trust ratings, too many people paid to write good and or bad reviews, use reviews from knowledgeable sources, a lot of pretty sleazy reviews around these days too.

Now if only everyone in the world had your same exact ears

And shoe sizes! Man I have small feet, almost impossible to get good running shoes, but so many people love brands that don't fit me, sigh! At least AirPods fit

Beats are $14 headphones. The rest is marketing.

Will they add better durability? The current powerbeats breaks so easily from all these reviews.

I honestly can’t believe people are paying $200 for earbuds. Wow. Never would have believed it was a possible sell if you had told me that a few years ago.

"Apple won't be cannibalizing its own AirPods sales because Powerbeats are designed for working out, running, and other athletic activities that aren't really meant for AirPods."

I don't get that. I have both, and PowerBeats work perfectly fine in situations that AREN'T working out, running and other athletic activities. In fact, PowerBeats are far more flexible than Airpods are.

Because there are obviously two distinct groups of wireless earphone consumers (based on posts here on MR): those who believe strongly that all earphones should be in-ear design with adjustable tips, and those who don’t.

Also, AirPods are better for phone calls.
