Apple don’t drop prices they rather raise it some more
Wrong, they dropped the price of the first iPhone significantly after slow sales.

Spoken like a Samsung fan who doesn't actually own an iPhone X. There is no home button. Camera tests by firms who know about quality pictures still give the X the edge over anything Samsung has to offer. A Note 8 is almost $1,000... running generic Android that Samsung spends next to nothing on for development - they don't write Android, and they don't have an App Store. It's ok, though... the carrier bloatware is free of charge, and don't hold your breath on timely updates, since Apple is still the only company to wrestle that away from the carriers. Oh, and you can keep being Google's product, and don't forget to consult your eye doctor before using the iris scanner, as you WILL get eye strain from using it. There are warnings during setup. On top of that, the most secure part of the iris scanner can't be used in low light, so it's useless.Do not buy that crap! I got one and failed to returned.
1. Face ID is slow, is pure garbage. Most of the time I have to type my passcode any way so I deactivated face ID which... is useless any way.
2. Thy change the home button and put it on a side. Now I have to keep guessing the combination with the two other buttons and the left side to do the exact same things I used to do with my older iPhone 5 WHICH now feels superior.
3. The new camera may be better than other iPhones but is way inferior than Samsung.
At the end they just moved things around added clumsy features you do not need and with an X is $1000. Wait until I see Tim Cook.
Lol, i love your logic to justify the price of the iPhone X by saying it's only $50 dearer than the iPhone 8 plus....I, originally, bought the 8 Plus 256GB, but didn't feel it was anything special over my 7 Plus. I didn't NEED 256GB (I typically only use about 30GB). I had no trouble going for a 64GB X, which was only $50 more than the 8 Plus 256. I'll take FaceID and the new UI gestures any day over using a home button again. It's so much more natural to just swipe to get where you need to be, instead of press, press, press of the home button. The only thing I'm not crazy about, is the new way to force close an app, but I understand why it is the way it is, so I've adapted. Otherwise, it would be difficult for me to go back to any other iPhone with a home button. Oh, and the display is just brilliant.
It’s user error. And bet you miss VHS tapes as well?I mostly don't want the iPhone X because of a lack of Touch ID.
Siri is always telling me "you need to unlock your iPhone first" and usually if I'm asking Siri something, it means I don't want to pickup my phone and hold it up to my face. Touching phone briefly much more convenient when its in the phone cradle on the dash of my car.
I like my headphone jack too, so iPhone 6S+ where I'm at until the phone goes kaput.
I think they are but Alot simply can't afford a phone at this price.
I pay $12 a more monthly for my X then my iPhone 7. What’s so expense about that?I think they are but Alot simply can't afford a phone at this price.
Guess not everyone is tired of the same 4 year old design
No, just not anyone is willing to pay this price. Your attitude is exactly what Apple wants you to think: "I am special", and you become price tag blind.
That's the problem: judging based on what monthly expense can be afforded rather than look at it from the angle that they will be spending "x" amount for a product.I pay $12 a more monthly for my X then my iPhone 7. What’s so expense about that?
They go hand in hand.
People aren’t willing to pay so much partly due to not wanting to spend so much and not being able to
I did a lot not all btw. The average person couldn’t afford to buy this phone and some simply didn’t want to
That said they still sold millions of them so plenty still wanted them
The highest capacity of the 8 and 8 Plus are actually cheaper than the highest capacity of the 7 and 7 Plus (all 256 GB). It's just that the 8 did get less upgrades than the 7 or 6s had over their predecessors. And that the iPhone X is cutting down the perceived attractiveness of the 8 and 8 Plus.I'm a long-time Apple customer. When I'd upgrade my iPhone I'd get the highest capacity of the flagship model. This time around though I decided that the 64GB 8 Plus was all I was willing to spend. I'm not surprised to read that others in the market for a new iPhone came to a similar decision.
If they are cutting production, it means demand and supply are no longer in sink. There are not plenty of people enough who want it, hence the cut-back. Let's see what happens.....

For example, say someone cannot afford a higher priced vehicle, so they push the loan out to 7 years to reduce the payment so it becomes affordable. The interest rate usually goes up and they pay more than it appears. It seems okay, because their monthly payment didn't rise.
I know of some people who put all of their Christmas gifts on a credit card and are unable to pay it back and the debt is still there by the next Christmas. Rather than buy gifts they can afford, they want to give nicer gifts. I find the whole thing disconcerting.
Millions and millions are said to have got one though. So clearly there is demand just not as high as expected
You just don't (want to) see my point![]()
