Do not buy that crap! I got one and failed to returned.

1. Face ID is slow, is pure garbage. Most of the time I have to type my passcode any way so I deactivated face ID which... is useless any way.

2. Thy change the home button and put it on a side. Now I have to keep guessing the combination with the two other buttons and the left side to do the exact same things I used to do with my older iPhone 5 WHICH now feels superior.

3. The new camera may be better than other iPhones but is way inferior than Samsung.

At the end they just moved things around added clumsy features you do not need and with an X is $1000. Wait until I see Tim Cook.

1. Had my phone a little over a month, I had to put my password in maybe three times. FaceID works well and isn't slow.
2. Things change, if you are using a 5, you are two versions of buttons changes.
3. No its not.

LOWER THE PRICE!!!

When they do, I'll run straight to the store to buy the f@#$%#!
€1100,- for a phone is just ridiculous... Bought the 6 for €600 when it came out a few years ago... Apple nearly doubled the price of their flagship model in a few years time. No wonder they have to 'cut the target'.

Strutting around like your stuff is the best thing since fire only works when it actually is. I'm sure it's a good phone, but not $1,000 good. Apple is making the same mistakes as the last time they were on top and lost it: their ego does not let them see that they're fallible. Unfortunately, this time Jobs can't come back to bail them out.

I managed to get one in the UK unlocked sim free for £440 brand new sealed.

£800 buy now.

eBay promo £75
Cashback on eBay £80
Sold my iPhone 7 for £200

Very happy with the phone.

This is what happens when you price yourself out of the market.

This is what happens when Apple gives customers choice AND carriers offer zero incentives on the more expensive one. BOGO iPhone 8s ($700 for two new phones), or one iPhone X for $1000. Which is the average customer going to choose?

I think the iPhone X is a testament to how much Apple for right the first time with the home button.

People tend the blame the pricetag for why someone chooses the iPhone 8 (or 7 or 6S) buT the bigger reason is the Home Button. Home Button Fans aren't a bunch of stubborn users that refuse to move with the times. They are regular people who view a phone as a tool and not a trend. And with a simple, intuitive and incredibly versatile Hime button then "It Just Works". So why would they give that up?

I jumped ship this year to Galaxy S8. Pretty happy so far.

Reason: Apple CarPlay vs. Android Auto

Update those damn maps Apple and start providing trafic info in more places !!!
Or just allow Google Maps or Waze on your CarPlay until you fix it.

For now, you lost a long-time customer and fan (still fan of MPB... cause I didn't had to change it yet with the new one w/o connectivity and SD slot... damn!)

Ford now allows Waze on CarPlay. Been using it on android auto for a while

I don't honestly see what Apple was supposed to do with the X. The price is crazy because the OLED panel. If they hadn't released an OLED phone they would've been raked over the coals for being behind Android. It's a lose-lose.

The price is crazy because Apple didn't secure enough suppliers for the OLED panel at reasonable prices. Usually, your suppliers will start at a price, and you negotiate it down because of volume, pre-payments, etc. Nobody pays the number in the book. Apple are in the nightmare situation of having to buy from Samsung, who are unlikely to give them very much of a discount.

Another annoying thing about this rumors is Apple never provides guidance or color on specific models. We have no way of knowing how many iPhone X Apple forecasted to sell in the holiday quarter or quarter after. So somebody makes up a number, says Apple is slashing that number and the stock tanks. And of course Apple doesn’t respond to supply chain rumors and there is no way to prove their accuracy so these rumors linger out there and become assumed as fact.

I pay $12 a more monthly for my X then my iPhone 7. What’s so expense about that?

Because in the rest of the world many phones are sold unlocked and so paying the full amount (ca. 1400 USD including 20-25% sales tax) up front is a significant purchase. On the plus side my monthly bill is about 30USD / month (2GB data, free calls & sms) with no minimum contract.

A lot of US citizens assume that phones are cheap because they are carrier "subsidized" (and then get 70USD/month bills for 2 years)

Overall the iPhone X was nowhere near as useful as a high quality laptop and a cheaper phone for me...

The posters like myself who were saying X was a flop for the holidays are proven absolutely correct. Now it's up to Apple to correct all the mistakes for the next iPhone 11.

It is by far the best phone I ever owned.
But the truth is, I could live also with a $500 Samsung galaxy S8 - and that is what many of my friends do.
What you can live with and what you want are two different things. Needs vs. wants. I could live with a flip phone. I want an x, but own a 6s, for now.

i have an iPhone X since 2 days and I assure you Hey Siri works perfectly. No need to press anything

I think it is important for Apple to fully understand why there was less then anticipated demand for this model. While some of the reasons are obvious, price and conflict with the iPhone 8 release, apparent OS quality issues, ultimately even for a company like Apple that kind of analysis is important rather then rushing to market a bunch more variants of flagship phones.

While iPhone X may still have been an impressive sales feat by most companies standards, by Apple standards it was a miss and any good company needs to understand why they missed their expectations before setting up a road map for future products.
When did Tim Cook or anyone else at Apple say there was less demand for the X? And demand based on what? Apple never provides sales guidance for specific models so we have no idea what Apple’s sales expectations were for this phone.

You’re treating RUMOR as FACT.

Flop means it sold like 30 milion units. I would love to sell things like this flop

No one knows the sales numbers until Apple releases them, at this point all of this is speculation and possibly stock price manipulation.

1) We get a "Apple cutting iPhone production" headline every January because they cut production every January.
2) LOL at those people calling 20+ million $1,000+ iPhones in Feb-Apr a disaster.

:D

I'm really confused. I know MacRumors is not big on fact checking and will publish anything for clicks, but one day the iPhone X is selling better than expected and is the best selling model ever, then tomorrow it's not selling and Apple is cutting orders?

Which one is it?
Nobody knows so people just believe which ever one matches their opinion and discount anything else. What’s sad though is no one ever questions the rumors to begin with. Case in point this thread. Nearly all of the comments in this thread are treating this rumor as fact.
