Gee looking at all your 16 posts, they are all about Samsung. Seems like another troll with no life. Go to android forums are read about the so called "great" quality of Samsung products. You don't because it would break you little heart.
Calm your fanboy heart down. If you hate Samsung so much, go sell your iPhone. Samsung made the processor and RAM inside of it, so it must be ****.

"In spite of seeming pressure, the iPhone 4 is still the top-selling smartphone at AT&T and Verizon by a wide margin, Canaccord Genuity said in a new research note. Checks showed that the Apple phone was still "by far" the most popular in May and June, even after phones like the Samsung Infuse 4G and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play arrived on shelves. While sales of Motorola's Droid X2 were "steady," Motorla's Atrix 4G at AT&T and Xoom tablet at Verizon were both "disappointing," research lead T. Michael Walkley and other analysts said."

Apple Market Value = $324B
Samsung Mrkt Val. = $113B

Whoa! Why are you so angry? Everyone has a right to be here. Looking at your history of attacking people, I'm surprised you haven't been banned.

Are we comparing samsung mobile to apple or samsung to apple

Here we go...another day another iOS vs Android (fundamentally) thread.

*yawn*

@trey1984

I have to say after comming from the iOS right into android it will suck just like going into iOS from android. Its going to take more then a week to get used to the new os. People comming from iOS expect it to be a clone of iOS and will run like such. But android is not a clone of iOS. Android however is not a clone of iOS (despite popular beliefs on this forum.) It is a cross between blackberry OS, palm OS and nokia's sambian OS. We always see the before and after pictures used to claim that android copied the iphone when in fact demand in smart phones shifted from the blackberry like design and demand for touch screen phones went up shifting android to more touch based.

Sorry about the long winded history lesson but it is important that people know that android and iOS are two very different OSs. Jumping into one or the other while still on the mindset that they are similar will lead to a bad experiance.

Samsung and Apple both make very good products.

Yet for some reason Apple seems to attract very emotional people that take things personally, go on the attack, and launch into juvenile games like name calling and being judgmental.

It's a very curious dynamic.

I've used iPhones, a Galaxy Tab, and an iPad 2. I've also tested out honeycomb on the Xoom at my local best buy.

It seems that Android is playing the catch up game. I think Android (2.x) by far has a better user interface and better usability than the iOS in its current state. HOWEVER my opinion might change with the release of iOS 5.

The Xoom I tested had 3.0 Honeycomb and it's a mess, although it has a really nice screen. Google really wasn't lying when they said they rushed it to the market. The reason why I got the iPad 2 was because Apple's iOS was more mature than Google's Tablet OS. Hopefully Android 4.0 will be what 3.0 should have been in the first place but for now I can safely say that on Tablets, iOS is by far superior than Android.

All it takes is time for the other manufacturers to catch up, just like they're doing now- eroding Apple's dominance in the smartphone market slowly. But for now until maybe Android 5.0 comes out, Apple is safe for now.

Because starting a thread called "Apple's Fear of..." on an iPhone forum and posting a link to an article that is clearly not objectively written and is also biased against Apple, and then hitting 'Post' with little extra prose is not at all provocative </sarcasm>

In fairness to Android, they have come a long way in a short time.

My Galaxy S2 running Android ver 2.3.3 is simply outstanding with a very high level of functionality. Stable, fast and fun, it's beautiful spacious screen makes using the phone so much easier than the diminutive iPhone display. It's pure joy to have lots of room to pinch and zoom, compose emails, and perform other tasks that require use of the keyboard.

In addition it has Swype which is an input method that is so fast it's simply unreal. Far faster that striking the hard display as one must do on an iPhone. It's really a shame that Apple would not approve Swype for the iPhone since that's a huge factor when it comes to enjoying your phone.

At the end of the day, they both offer lots of value and usefulness in the smartphone universe. There is nothing like choices. Something for everyone.

You can say that about anything with a fan base. Literally anything. Religion, businesses, bands, that particular type of pencil certain people tend to like.

There's a good reason trolling is a popular pastime. Drop into a forum, incite a flame war by badmouthing the group/etc the board focuses on, lulz.

Hell, just look at the AMD/ATi vs nVidia nonsense, and even earlier, it was 3dfx vs ATi vs nVidia.

As a huge Apple enthusiast and tech professional of many years, I happen to enjoy keeping up on the tech news.

The title came from the news article.

The original post simply asked for feedback as I enjoy hearing peoples opinions no matter what they are.

In this forum of public opinion, discussion is encouraged.

It simply doesn't get any better than that :)

All things eventually come to an end. Apple customers love to sell the iOS is just smoother angle. But Android has not only closed the gap, they passed it. Bottom Line: Samsung definitely has Apple worried.
You just have to do a little reading on the depth of what Samsung does. Their product line doesn't end with mobile devices. Apple customers talk about ecosystems, but no one is currently in line to give you the whole deal in terms of an ecosystem like Samsung is. The depth of their product line up is ridiculous. They have exclusives like the Gorgeous Super Amoled Plus screen. It's just heads and shoulders above every other display out there at the moment. And to all the retina lovers out there, you know it will be only a matter of year or 2 at max that they get a SuperAmoled with 300+ dpi on their phones. The SGS2 just destroys anything on the market currently. Unlike before, there has never been such an overwhelming majority of reviewers in the industry who have declared a phone other than the iPhone as the best phone on the market. The next iPhone will be great I'm sure. I just don't believe they will come out with anything that will be mind blowing. Times have changed, the iPhone is no longer the bar for smartphones. It was bound to happen. Nothing is forever.Technology is moving faster than ever, and Apple isn't the kind of company that moves at that speed. Just look at the history of the iPhone. But with that all being said, regardless of what high end phone you buy these days, your gonna have an amazing electronic device.

Just wondering, is there anyone on these forums who doesn't consider Samsung as Apples biggest threat in taking over the mobile industry?

Well said, Samsung's diverse array of phones is matching up to the one iPhone.
I don't see Samsung taking over in the next year but years down the road when Android and Windows 7 mobile completly saturate the market, Apple may be forced to #2 or even#3 to the up and coming Windows 7 mobile.

The only people worried are the people who buy Samsung products. Cheap crap that has no customer support. How many Samsung Stores have you walked into lately? Sorry, you have to go through K-Mart, or Wal Mart or one of the other box stores when you have problems. I'm sure those geniuses at Wal mart or Best Buy can help you. Samsung, yea, that's quality.

I don't because I don't buy crap.

Another Apple fangirl?, Apple product users have to stop being so Apple-centric, everything doesn't revolve Apple anymore.

Yes because I'm the one who has no life. When your on the internet attacking someone you dont even know.

Thumbs up for the meme pic :)

Good choice, its the 3rd best anti troll picture behind /facepalm and cool story bro.

Says the Samsung Galaxy owner who feels compelled to start a thread on the merits of Samsung handsets over iPhone in an iPhone forum.

Are there many people trolling Android or Samsung forums by starting 'iPhone is better' threads ?

You sound like a freaking Advertisement. I mean, who talks like that?

You guys and gals all take it too far.

It's a phone.

Me, personally, love my iPhone. I have only used a mates android phone now and again so I can't comment on owning one from that side.

Saying that we were both happy with what we own.

There is such an argument on these and i'm guessing other forums about which is best, we're talking about an argument which is just silly on the basis of it. Everyone can argue specs, apps, ecosystem, battery life and whatever they want when it comes to a phone and this will probably happen every iteration of every new generation of phones.

Yet its still just a phone. In one years time its out of date and a new argument will rage about the iPhone and the Samsung xxxxx

As it is, I come onto this sub-forum to read about iPhone stuff, I don't mind hearing about iPhones against xxx model as competition is good and that is obvious with iOS5 as they are bringing a lot to the table that other companies have offered for a long time.

However, threads like this always get derailed and become what it is now.

Maybe mods need to look into some sort of control on comparision posts as they get derailed far too quickly and I would much rather read subjective argument than "your a samsung fanboi" "no your an apple fanboi" rants

Apple has enough money to have bon fires with 100 dollar bills every night. I don't even think Steve Jobs, Jonny Ives, or the rest of the bunch are having dreams that consist of anything other than raining money and iPhone's. That's like asking if I feel threatened by my dog when I bring my girl friend over. lolque?
