Go buy one then. You will be among a very select few to waste their money on this. Although I'm sure a bunch of little girls will dig the colors.

Just browsed through this thread to see if users and moderators are working well to eliminate trolls. My conclusions are that (1) we really do need a separate sub-forum for these kinds of Android-cheerleading threads, (2) Samsung has hired cyber-marketers with all the finesse of a howitzer and (3) [wholly offensive remark by removed by VulchR - sorry]....

Here in the USA we have freedom of speech. We are free to express our opinions and have intelligent discussions with one another.

We are free to share our opinions on products of interest. To compare and contrast.

I began this thread based on an interesting article I read. If you take the time to read it, you may find it interesting to. If not, you are free to go about your business.

For you to come into this thread making blind, unfounded, false accusations of trolling is wrong.

In 1991 I purchased my first new PowerBook 170. With the exception of just a few years I've bought a new Apple Laptop every year since.

I am a massive investor in Apple Stock.

I am composing this on my 2011 MacBook Pro, my 16th new Apple Laptop.

That is not the sign of someone who is a troll.

Wow.. Point 3 really makes you sound silly.

Perhaps take the time to read things properly and consider everything involved.

No need to say anymore here... Not after the @ss whipping the OP just installed upon you.

Almost 100% sure he wasn't talking about you. Scroll through the top of this page and read the comments about "wasting your money, etc..."

So now you're calling me Samsung's hired cyber marketer? Incidentally, I've been on the forums before you joined, before Samsung started making smartphones and before Android even came into existence. Pure logic you got right there.

I dinna live in the US, and I wonder why you think that my post was aimed at you.

In any case, this thread can be summarized as:

  1. OP posts link to biased article the largely rehashes information available from other sources. Neither the OP nor the 'journalist' who wrote said article consider the possibility that Apple is suing Samsung simply to make more money.
  2. Some actually interested in the iPhone point out that this is an iPhone forum that has been spammed relentlessly by Samsung trolls over the past few weeks, and ask why we need yet another thread singing the praises of Samsung.
  3. True to form, the Samsung trolls jump in citing reviews from Samsung's own site and start insulting the intelligence of iPhone users.
  4. The threads disintegrates into pointless bickering. Like this exchange.

Finally, I not in favour of banning these threads from MR, just creating a subforum for them. At least then we could skip the 'this thread doesn't/does belong here' arguments.

To be honest I'm pretty sick of these threads too. I don't think we need a subforum either. As long as the thread is related to the iPhone it should stay.

This thread is not related to the iPhone in any way. It should be trashland material.

VulchR- I love your signature.

Since this thread is trashland material, it is pretty amazing how fast tech has evolved.

I know right? I remember seeing the first iPhone at MacWorld 2007. It was the first mobile phone that I've ever bought - the first phone that actually had merits that appealed to me as a customer.

Wow.. Point 3 really makes you sound silly.

You're right. Sorry I offended you - it was a pathetic attempt at a joke - I'll remove it. I have a twisted sense of humor that others sometimes do not appreciate - it often gets me into trouble.

I guess I'm the only one on the forums with both an iPhone 4 and a Galaxy S II. Got any questions? Fire away. I'm probably also the only true unbiased commenter lol.

I have a question. Which one do you find to run smoother? I'm not trying to bring out the trolls, I'm genuinely curious cos of all they hype around the SGS2. if you were to run similar apps on both, which runs with less hiccups?

I just played with a HTC EVO 3D earlier and I came away un-impressed, I was expecting more, it has the same washed out screen that the original EVO had, and the whole thing just seemed kind of clunky and thrown together.

Not even close to the iPhone 4, the iPhone 5 will be something else..

I know it's not a Samsung, but it's the only and newest Android phone I've checked out.
