Not surprised at all the junk in this thread, but I am surprised no one pointed out the symbolism in Ive’s design. Each country in the UK is represented by a flower: rose for England, shamrock for Northern Ireland, thistle for Scotland, daffodil for Wales. I think it’s a nice incorporation of these symbols into a unifying logo.
It's a great emblem with a lot of thought going into the design and execution.

Sadly, most people here don't care. They wan't to have a good whine and feel better afterwords.

I find it quite busy. Seven thistle icons? But then it's the same, somewhat overwrought, approach as the Environmental Award of a year or two ago, so at least Ive is consistent.
Personally, I too find it way busy. It's not an aesthetically toward which I'm typically drawn. But... My personal taste/preferences have no bearing on whether the logo works or not. Considering the client and audience, it would seem spot on.

Lol @ Ive's consistency. 😂

Beautiful design. I can understand why Jony wanted to branch out and make things other than computers.

Looking to see his future designs and products.
plates, cups, saucers? tea towels? spoons... in a range of materials (aluminium for the poor, ceramic or gold for the few).

the porcelain will be so thin you can see through it entirely.

They don't have any political power and they are hardly a burden to the tax payer. A few quid a year per person.

Look how much the US spends on security all it's former Presidents & their families alone and tell me who gets better value for tax payers money.
Did you forget about Andrew's sexual assaults and the Queen paying to hush it up?These people think it's their birthright to rule over people like you and you just go 'oh, ok, well I suppose it's good for tourism'. The fact they don't really have political power is besides the point.

'A few quid a year' from each tax payer adds up to a LOT. That could go elsewhere - to struggling parents or towards education and children or towards those who can't pay energy bills. Anywhere but in the pockets of people who think 'I deserve to rule these cretins on this island'. You are beneath their concern - the quicker you figure this out the better. The landmarks would all sell tickets fine if we abolished the Royals, we just wouldn't have this stupid pomp and idiocy to deal with. Anyone arguing otherwise is absolutely tripping!

As for comparing to presidential families...awful awful comparison. Prime Ministers are the comparison here, not the Royals. But you knew that, you're just being disingenuous. The dispicable Royals are useless sacks of flesh and should be thrown in the Thames.

Are you willing to pay even more to cover the billions lost if they abolish them? I’m not, we’re already paying way too much. Plenty of people in the UK to abolish before we get rid of an institution that actually earns our economy billions a year.

They don't rule over me. They have no power. And calm down.

And the royal family is here to stay, so you'll just have to deal with it 😆
