There are 7 tweeters and it can bounce sounds all over the place (that's what the beemforming is about), so yeah its stereo. They're able to pick the instruments and singers from playback. You get a wider soundstage with 2 speakers, but it's not necessarily a more acurate soundstage.

Right... production issue... And not... well, Airplay2... which has nothing to do with production.

Another option, they're selling a boat load and there are no production issue.

The fact that the Homepod depends heavily on service and its a new product means they'd try to limit to variables in debugging / servicing them. Not having to bother with multi-language support at launch is likely one of those simplications.
You can have 50 tweeters. Bouncing the sound/he’s forming does not make it stereo. They take a real stereo signal and single source
So, no clue again, about well, anything.

read what the guy above you said. bye.

It's not mono, Apple's web says so.... You are keen on that kinda thing hey buddy. Go there.

Stereo takes two speakers in different locations. But by all means continue to believe the Apple way. Downmixing true stereo to a single source makes it not stereo. She please continue to spee nothingness as usual. Bye.

Edit. I thought you added me to your ignore list. Please add me back.

Yep both coming from a single source. Not stereo. Try again.

You seem to think that the definition of stereo is two separate physical speaker enclosures. It’s not. It’s two electrically distinct and separate drivers each outputting a L & R audio source. They are typically in separate enclosures, but they don’t have to be.

Try again.

From the Apple Website.
"Create stereo sound with a second HomePod."

Nothing like taking the title and ignoring the much more detailed explanation right below (which is what I quoted).

Kinda like the Apple Watch? AirPods? iPod? There’s always somebody on here predicting Apple’s latest [fill in the blank] will be a huge flop. Let the market decide.

If I remember correctly, all of those items sold out their pre-orders. They were exciting and new. This is (to the majority of consumers) is the same thing as the competition. Except it costs significantly more and doesn't have the same "smart capabilities". "It sounds amazing". I haven't really heard many people complain about the sound quality of the competition. It seems like Apple is late to the game and trying to solve a problem that doesn't seem to exist. I just don't see it catching on like Apple Watch, AirPods, or the iPod.
