Imagine the disaster of they released new hardware and software EVERY quarter... Not just once a year.
Is any of this really a "leak"? There's nothing major on there that we haven't been expecting anyway. It isn't really a secret to know Touch ID was inevitably going to end up on the iPads as well.
Actually you could say:
iPad
iPad 2
iPad (3rd Generation)
iPad (4th Generation)
iPad Air
iPad Air 2
Apple did use this naming as well.
This wouldn't have happened if Steve Jobs were still alive.
Possibly. But Steve would also do a tactic like this to take the attention from Google's tablet announcement.
Nobody is really shocked by what this is. Not like it leaked anything we didn't already know, aside from Burst pictures.
I'm thrilled that it seems like the Mini might be getting split screen due to the multi-touch display. Now we just need more RAM...
They would screw it up royally if they did this:
iPad mini
iPad mini with Retina
iPad mini 3 -> iPad
iPad Air 2 -> iPad Plus
These types of news articles take the excitement away from Apple's formal product announcements since we already know what to expect.

Of cause. The rumour websites want themselves to be the ones to let the cat out of the bag and not Apple.
Based on the size and price, I doubt Apple is worried about the Nexus 6. Probably not much about the 9 or android 5 either.
Historically Apple does iPad events on Tuesday. I'll bet it was changed to Thursday and someone forgot to tell the doc people.
I want multi-user support. I don't need to buy a tablet to me and another to my wife. I see some couples configuring a Facebook account on browser and another in the FB app. It should be easier to switch between accounts.
That just goes to show how messed up it is in keeping the names and generations straight!
And after that new ipad with retina (generation 3), then a Gen 4 was released 6 months later without a name change at all!

That's because Tim's more concerned about other things like getting scammed by GTAT.
I think the leaks might be coming out of Foxconn or the other outsourcing companies since they are probably the only people with pre production prototypes other than Apple HQ, which most likely aren't leaking the info.
It was ironic, I have accidentally sit down on my iPhone 6 too, even having it in my jeans which are tight.
Funny when people actually get BIGGER iPhones, they find something else to complain about..

I think the leaks are coming from whomever is outsourcing the product from China.
They were VERY tight lipped on the MacPro before Apple made the announcement and those are being made in the US.
Yeah, I've said in many a previous post that Foxconn are prime suspects for some of these leaks, very obvious as so much is being leaked right off of the production line.
This story was published half an hour ago and the direct link to the guide is still up?? I thought Apple had eyes on the internet constantly looking out for stories.
