Apple's iPad: Will It Blend?

To all the people saying this is a waste of resources, an example of American wastefulness, disgusting, disrespectful to the poor around the world and other such utter crap:
I find it beyond hilarious that you would waste your time and energy complaining about someone blending a frickin' iPad when there are soooo many other things you could be doing if you are truly that upset. Why don't you start working on solving real world problems like war, terrorism, hunger, pollution, child pornography, slavery, murder, racism . . . etc. etc. ad nauseum before you lecture us about the morality of blending an iPad? Until you've got those problems licked, I will continue to laugh at you and your grossly misplaced idealism.
Honestly, in the face of all the problems in this world, what difference does it make if I "waste these resources" by doing such meaningless things as browsing the web and reading comic books as opposed to blending the GD thing?

Saw one comment on this saying that here in the UK Apple have had to recall all the iPads because of wireless issues, leaving the customers furious, which is funny because it hasn't even been released yet... But I guess it's true, it is on the internet after all

I agree. MacRumors should delete this video. This is inhumane treatment of an inanimate Apple object, and should be punishable under federal law!
I don't get you guys. If holywood destroys lots of cars and buildings and all kinds of stuff to make movies, just to entertain people it's ok... but if somebody destroy an iPad for the same reason (entertainment) than it's an horrible example of decadence and wastefulness...
But this is Apple we're talking about! The money that went into that iPad literally could have fed 250 starving children. But instead, it went into some guys blender. Talk about putting money down the drain!
Yes indeed he removed the case.... i know this program is nosense but now it is nosense with nosense. And really sad to destroy a new iPad in that way imho.

Some of you are talking about how stupid is to rant about it because for example in an action movie some cars could be destroyed and it is a waste too. i agree but anyway a movie or somehting like that is entertainment... but please you can't call this program entertainment.. it is just crap. No for iPad but for anything the guy destroyed with a certain value in money.... This is just my opinion, but this is incredibly stupid not just for iPad.
I found it very entertaining to watch an iPad getting blended into dust!
Also it was his $500, he should be able to do what he wants with it!

The "Will it blend?"-series is pure genius. It is not some random Joe smashing stuff, it is a for-profit company spending very few dollars and getting extremely wide coverage.
Its silly things like this that make US companies extremely successful. That guy is laughing all the way to the bank.
It's really nothing to get upset about, you're acting like he's blending puppies. It's an ad for a product.
Don't buy from this blender company!
This guy and his company are freaking really stupid. Don't buy a blender from them, let's all boycot them.
I hope that this guy looses his job, and I hope that this company goes out of business. Take the thousands of dollars that they they have spent destroying perfectly good stuff and donate to someone that has dreams of being able to afford one of these!

You act like the iPad they destroyed for the purpose of promotion was impossible to replace... like there will always be one person who wanted an iPad in the world who can never have one now, because he blended THAT one. Ridiculous!
All he did was help Apple sell one more iPad and increase their success with the product, while succeeding in advertising his own product at the same time. I'm pretty darn sure the last few blenders I owned could *never* accomplish the feat he pulled off. In fact, I had to replace the one before last because it died trying to grind up some ICE for drinks I was trying to make. Most of the cheaper blenders are slapped together in China .... and I somehow doubt that's the case with his. Buying his blender probably helps create jobs in the U.S. - which is a GOOD thing right now.
But people like you want him to LOSE his job (not spelled with 2 o's BTW), and for his company to go under, causing many MORE jobs to be lost. All why? Because you're all upset he didn't give YOU the iPad for free instead of blending it??

It's easy to forget when watching these humorous videos that they are adverts for a blender. So think again when you call the video stupid, because whats $499 when it makes people remember your blender? I dunno about you guys but I might try to get a BlendTec blender when Im in the market for one next time.

This guy actually owns the company apparently, according to other posters, and they blend quite a lot of devices, so he's not going anywhere, so don't worry about that!
Its not stupid, its actually very good advertising - and Macrumours has given them plenty! They got free advertisements from quite a lot of websites due to this one advert!
When I buy a blender I want to make sure it doesn't choke on an egg, so this advert goes a long way to show that these Blenders have the power necessary.
It probably could, but to do so would cause a rift in the space-time continuum and create a black hole. They are wise not to try this.
If you go to the site, they are giving away an iPad in a contest to make up for that poor soul who will never be able to get the one he blended. Maybe that will make some people happy.
