5 more days people, 5 more and we won't have to speculate anymore. I just hope I like the design....

There is no way the design will appeal to everyone. But I'm sure Apple will hit a sweet spot that sticks well with a broad range of consumers.

I would love this form factor, personally. But I use these as fitness trackers, not a fashion piece.

Well, mix it with these ideas:

and a bit of this design language when it comes to new materials and machining

And add some good software and capabilities and there you have a killer product

Hmmm I'm about to pull up statements that Ming has said that have turned out to be completely false.

If Macrumors would stop reporting KGI Securities analysts who guess and Digitimes reporters who lie for clickbait that would be great.

By the way Macrumors, the iWatch won't be announced September 9th. If we're reporting on guessing/lying nowadays maybe you should report on that.

But you probably earn millions reporting on ******** so it's fine.

Have Kuo been right even once? If i remember correctly about all his reports i would assume he has a failure rate of over 90%, atleast.

But, out of all the analyst who throw out predictions, he has been right several times in the past so people pay attention. -I'm NOT saying he's right this time, but he must have a 5% success rate, which compared to others, is outstanding lol.

At this point, who knows what the iWatch, iTime, iWhatever will be or what the specs will be. I'm interested in seeing what they come up with but tend to ignore the rumors. Who knows how many prototypes have been floating around with different specs.

Apple's iWatch Pegged for 2015 Debut in Two Sizes With 8 GB Storage, Multiple...

Does anyone have a drawing/rendering of what 1.3 and 1.5 in a circular diameter would look like? Or what's that equivalent to? A quarter, silver dollar? Two sizes sound about right. One for females and one for males maybe? Considering a woman's watch generally has a smaller face than a mens watch.

There is no 38mm sport luxury watch for sale nowadays, not even close, that's ridiculously small. That's why it will be a bracelet as I said if has a 38mm (1,5'') screen

But I am quite sure that the "body" of the watch will at least partially be made of aluminium.

You have to be careful with wearables' materials because of contact dermatitis. One of the reasons jewelry employs relatively inert materials.

Aluminium allergy is relatively uncommon (nickel being the most well-known) but not unheard of.

He was right about the 17 inch MacBook being discontinued, Apple introducing the 4th gen iPad 7 months after the 3rd gen, Apple re-introducing the iPad 4 after it was discontinued earlier this year, a low cost iMac, a gold iPhone option, trutone flash or "smart LED flash" as he called it, and many more.

If you see a story you don't like, just ignore it. You know how to ignore, don't you? Just put your eyelids together and blow off.

Remember that's the screen size. With an average sized bezel the case would measure around 44-45mm diameter which is a fairly common size today.

If it has panerai style bezels and case then it could be rounded, that's the size of a 44mm luminor 1950 dial, true, but I wouldn't expect that from jony ive's design department.

I admit that I was thinking about overall case size however, my fault.

Oh I think the iWatch will be announced on Tuesday but it's nothing like those renders and these specs this analyst is predicting are likely completely wrong. He is guessing based on what the industry is producing and what apple has patented. He has no insider knowledge on this, it hasn't begun mass production, he knows nothing more about it than you or I.

Circular would have been beautiful, but it's not gonna be circular.

It's gonna be basically the same rectangular thing that Samsung just presented yesterday.

According to Kuo, the iWatch may have a rectangular design and will include 8GB of internal storage with 512MB LPDDR3. The wristwatch will be available in two screen sizes of 1.3 and 1.5-inches in order to accommodate different wrist sizes. Apple may use between two to four different casing materials, with aluminum and gold as two likely options.

Doubt Apple would use GOLD. It's heavy and expensive. Can't imagine a gold version model costing 10x more than the standard iWatch.

Hate this spaghetti reports. They throw a bunch of them and one MIGHT sticks.

It's interesting that we've seen no leaked photos or videos for the watch. Apple did a really good job keeping this one locked up. With that being said, as much as I'm anticipating the new iPhone(s), I'm way more excited to see this.

I think it is because of two factors:
1) It is not yet being mass produced. Only place it is made is behind Apple's locked doors. They have all the machines to make the prototypes themself. No need to send drawings to China ;-)

2) Maybe it will be made in the US like the nMP

1. Apple had a history of not doing as other companies do so not really a good yardstick
2. If this device is being made in the US it is plausible that it is basically ready to launch and has actually stayed a secret. Just like the specs of the Mac Pro did.
3. I believe you mean alleged comments.

Really? But you yourself claimed Sony's smartwatch would fail due to not being launched as soon as it was announced, changed your tune have you now your talking about an APPLE watch:

And thus Sony sets themselves up to repeat the great "failed to kill the iPad" craze of 2010.

These companies need to get the clue that it's not about when you announce but when you release. If Apple does release a wearable it will likely be announced next week with a clear price and a better release date than "coming months".

So going by your logic, and this story, Apple is indeed totally copying what others do in regards to launch times.

I sincerely hope it doesn't look anything like the one shown in the picture. I would rather buy a band and strap my iPhone on my hand.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a mock up article here showing an iPhone taped to a wrist, after all, they showed a paper cutout of an iOS home screen taped to a wrist a few months back.

The most important thing Apple has to come up with alongside the presentation of the iWatch is a reason to buy one.
