They're releasing the iSteve, which is a new line of clothing, basically jeans and turtleneck !

Naw man...they're releasing a revolutionary new kind of personal fragrance called Eau de Matic (Steve's been dropping hints about it for years)! It uses sophisticated sensors in the docking cradle and software on the PC or Mac to formulate a fragrance uniquely suited to each person, then the actual dispenser unit uses technology derived from inkjet printers to accurately mix it from several base components on-the-fly. It'll turn the whole cosmetics industry on its head. I know I've been saying it for a few years now, but hell, if Apple can push out a you-know-what after all these years of rumours, this one's a shoo-in! 😛

Just to confirm, the stream isn't up yet. I'm checking Apple's website manually in case there's a bug in my script. Also, keep in mind that the script is checking both the Quicktime stream and the iTunes podcast.

Can you have the script play a sound the moment it's there? That way, I can go to sleep until it wakes me with the long awaited link 🙂

Yes, they're different resolutions and apparently there's an audio stream. However, when Apple first posts the stream, it's only available in one resolution (or so I think). The script will post whatever links it'll find.

a very loud repeating alarm would be the way to go. that way, I could just use it as an alarm clock to wake me up as soon as the stream is online ;-)
