My building has CNN on in the elevators with audio, so I have to be careful about leaving work tonight...

That said, its after 4pm, and it doesn't look like I'll be watching it before I leave work now... (assuming its a little less than 2 hours).

I wasn't watching CNN..... I opened a new Safari window and CNN is my homepage, so it opened up. I saw it before I could go to another site.

ah. ok. So, you have CNN as your homepage on a day like today and they're the stupid ones? lol.

Ok I see, I never really found out what happend with their youtube pron fest, i guess since i didnt hear about it maybe it wasnt such a success? Not gonna google it thats for sure..

If you're still wondering, i'd be happy to share the story of 4Chan's most recent attempt at a porn raid. (I myself browse 4chan from time to time in moments of extreme boredom and happened to be around when the whole porn raid debacle was being organized) This all started when a poster on /b/ (4chan's "random" board (essentially a sewer filled with the most vile and offputting material that could possibly be collected all in one place) discovered a video created by a user (a moderately chubby child around the age of eleven or so) who went by the name of "Lukeywes1234". The video was simply him asking for at least 50 subscribers by February. Once a thread was started with the link to Lukeywes1234's YouTube channel, everybody on /b/ it seemed swarmed the page and subscribed. In a matter of around 12 hours lukeywes1234 had gone from ~20 subscribers to ~10,000. Needless to say, lukeywes was thrilled and posted a couple of response videos as the number grew thanking his new-found subscribers. At this point, lukeywes was becoming a pretty popular figure on YouTube. Right around the time that one of lukeywes' most popular videos would have hit the front page, his account was suspended by Youtube. Youtube claims that this was because he was under the required age of 13, but the citizens of /b/ believed that Youtube simply didn't want some chubby on its front page and might have become suspicious of the completely legitimate sudden explosion in subscribers. Up until then, and for a short time afterward, Lukeywes1234 had been hailed as the "King of /b/", reigning alongside the the longtime "Queen of /b/", Boxxy. When news of Lukeywes' suspension reached all corners of /b/, they decided to respond back with a YouTube porn raid. I remember well the thread that was created to organize this event; hundreds, if not thousands of angry anons collected together and hammered out the details for what would be the epic porn raid that would bring YouTube to its knees and bow down to /b/ and bring back their King, lukeywes. The popular template was what seemed to be footage of a Jonas Brothers of Miley Cyrus concert, which suddenly switched over to hardcore pornography during the video. There was quite a bit of confusion and not so much coordination, and things started going downhill from there. A few videos were posted early and were quickly spotted and taken down. Their ship was quickly sinking. Then some media outlets got word of the planned porn raid and it all pretty much went completely downhill from there. The raid was completely unsuccessful, and I don't quite know if lukeywes1234 was ever given back his account. In the time since then though, it seems that /b/ has mostly moved on from actively talking about lukeywes, though he surely still lives on in the hearts and minds of many anons as the King of /b/.

Is Your "." button broken because there is no need for that many dots! A simple "..." is quite sufficent:cool:

Any guesses as to when this thing will be posted? I've skimmed over dozens of pages of this forum and I have no clue.

Apple doesnt post event, all apple geeks revolt!

The headlines in tomorrows news item

"Apple doesn't post event, all apple geeks/loyalists revolt!"

So lets redirect the discussion.. What will we Apple geeks do collectively to revolt?

What would be the chance that TV networks are already set to start showing commercials for whatever Apple announced today? I have been a "spoiler-free veteran" as well, but I just hope the I won't see any commercials for anything new tonight since I'm not going to skip my shows for the night. Hopefully, the keynote is posted in at least another two hours because there isn't much you can do if you don't want to know what Apple announced today.
