********. No iPhone for me. I'm not moving from Orange who I've been with for 11 years to pay a minimum of £20 extra a month...no thanks.

Haha is that it, 6 minutes in and he'd already made all the key points. Wonder if there'll be a "one more thing" shocker (doubt it, they'd stick to the US for any new releases etc I'm sure)

Well that's decided that then... if it was going to be 16GB and 3G I would have cancelled the iTouch right now.

No 3g networks because - Steve: "The 3G chipsets are real power hogs. Handset battery life cuts power to 2-3 hours." Yeah yeah, we've heard it before. "Our phone has a talk time of 8 hours and that's really important when you want to use your phone for internet and music. 3G needs to get back up to 5+ hours, something we think well see later next year."

Hmmm

Somewhat deflated

It's good to have a month to contemplate whether I want to pay minimum £420 a year, just to have broadband on the go ( which is what the iphone amounts to over the ipod touch).

For the first time since January, I'm actually thinking of not buying one!

Well, I'm glad the iPhone is finally here, but I'm not touching it with a bargepole.

£270 for a handset is quite ridiculous and while a lot of Mac fans in the U.S. were prepared to stump up for it, Apple will get a big shock come November.

I am pretty sure come November they will fly off the shelves. when you take into account its an iPod as well as a phone/web browser £270 is not ridiculous.
