With Ive gone hopefully Apple can start making functional computers again.
Forstall? He is a software guy..
I guess after 4 iterations of a flawed keyboard, the board had finally had enough
In some countries it is written aluminum, which was the correct spelling in the UK in the past. The way it is written.
In theory. But in practice, I've never seen it work out terribly well. Keeping talent that doesn't share your goals isn't terribly beneficial, and keeping a former employer with different goals as a client solely to maintain a revenue flow eventually leads to conflict...The former employee can accomplish her goals, and the former employer retain the talent.
Naw he was pushing things forward. He was let go because of bad blood with Ives and other’s who’ve moved on as well. With them gone, we need someone else with strong opinions. All the people clamoring for Forstall's return either didn't actually pay attention to Apple back then or are clouded by nostalgia. iOS 6 was incredibly stale, and that stagnation is exactly what the majority of people on these forums complained about in 2012. Not liking the direction that Apple went with iOS 7 and beyond is understandable, but iOS had to evolve and Forstall was clearly reluctant to let that happen.

nothing lasts forever and it was only a matter of time. Hopefully Apple University or whatever it’s called made headway in the transitioning.I can't wait for the posts in a year or 2 wishing he was still with Apple.
Yeah, kind of an odd choice, functionally. It may just be a temporary arrangement while they seek a replacement.Jeff Williams (in charge of operations) to oversee design, huh.
