How is it obvious that it can't render the full 15 W even when combined with a 27 W (or higher) charger? How is this getting ridiculous?
The 20 W brick lets a regular individual magsafe charger charge your phone at 15 W.
add an Apple Watch puck taking some of that juice, and it’s not gonna get the full 15 W on the other side. This is just obvious stuff
145 euros in Germany, plus 25 euros for the 20W chargerIt’s AU$199 😂
I guess they mean the iPad charger or the one from MBAs or MBPsCheers Apple. I bought an extra 20W charger when I got the MagSafe cable for use with the future Duo - as this was the recommended charger.
You now say I need a 27W charger.
Never mind, I can just go and exchange it for a 27W one.
Oh wait you don’t make one.
What’s going on!
It’s bigger of a joke for people buying in india. Approx 188 US$ 🤣😂LOL at anyone who buys this at $129.
Insane.
This is a non-issue. That is, if it’s a sufficiently convenient product in terms of its design and ergonomics. 10 watts or so is still solid and the technical constraints make sense. People will become picky pissants over anything. It still seems like a neat product.
I agree with both your points. I plan on buying a Duo as soon as it is available. I even have a couple 30 Watt chargers lying around. The convenience for travel (when we can do that again) is a big selling point.I'm going to dissent from most of the posts here and predict that this will be a popular accessory. The magnets ensure a reliable charge (as opposed to most wireless chargers) and the watch half permits nightstand mode or flat charging at the user's option -- a useful and surprisingly rare feature. Most users will be using this at night, so the lower charging speed will be plenty fast enough.
That said, I'm concerned about the environmental impact of chargers that lose so much power (compared to plug-in solutions). Is anyone aware of solid research on that issue?
How is it more convenient than getting a charger with two ports (such as this one or one of the hundred other GaN chargers - https://www.amazon.com/Charger-RAVP...1&keywords=ravpower+65w&qid=1605686637&sr=8-3). 30odd dollars. You plug in your existing Apple Watch charger in one port, plug in your Magsafe charger in the other. Costs 1/2 to 1/3 of the Apple solution and does not take any more space than buying an Apple Charger with one port, connecting this plastic monstrosity to it and have slower charging for 3-4x the price.I agree with both your points. I plan on buying a Duo as soon as it is available. I even have a couple 30 Watt chargers lying around. The convenience for travel (when we can do that again) is a big selling point.
There have been a few reports of this so you are not alone.MagSage charger are making my iPhone really hot while chargingAnyone experiencing this problem.
