I would pay $79 for this (with no brick included) or $99 (with the brick). Not any single more dime.
Definitely. At that price i would probably try it out.

Yeah it does but does cool down quickly well it shouldMagSage charger are making my iPhone really hot while chargingAnyone experiencing this problem.
Basiically no issues putting it in the right place to charge once its On its on...it’s only an issue being slow to charge if you badly need it to be topped up quickly...I know I would use it at night only so being fast to charge really isn’t importantWhy would anyone have any desire to go MagSafe especially if it puts a giant circle on a $60 iPhone leather case and is slow to charge.
Asking for a friend.
Isn’t the damage done already though, in terms of longevity, due to the constant raising of temperature whilst charging?Yeah it does but does cool down quickly well it should
Suit yourself 🤷♂️ If 14W vs. 15W is a deal breaker, it’s a deal breaker 🙂Annnnnnnnd that's the deal breaker for me. Duo charger is now dead to me.
I didn't mind the delay, lack of charger brick, lack of USB-C, or price but the fact that MagSafe charging can't reach peak power turns me off as a tech geek. I went from buying the Duo charger to keeping my Apple Watch Dock and separate MagSafe charger.
With wireless charging, you just set the device down. No two-handed plugging in of cables to mess with anymore. From my perspective, inductively charging phones is nothing but a marketing stunt. As long as chargers ain't invisibly integrated into furniture, desk lamps, monitor stands etc. they absolutely make no sense to me. Where's the difference between having a cable lying around on your desk or night-stand, or a charger (with a cable on it's back) instead?
Considering the wireless Watch magnetic charger is a $79 product, it’s not so bad. Some will want it, that’s why Apple made it. Those who can’t afford it or simply don’t want it will probably... not buy it? aka a win/win.LOL at anyone who buys this at $129.
Insane.
Nothing wrong with knowing how to get paid 🙂In iJustine's review, she got excited about the MagSafe Duo but then again she gets excited about everything
Shouldn't be a problem for two-handed people. What do these people do with their Macs and iPads? With wireless charging, you just set the device down. No two-handed plugging in of cables to mess with anymore.
It’s all about convenience, that’s it.
Big deal, it’s HK$1,049. Australians always think they’ve got it so bad... nope! 5 times higher in Hong Kong 🤣It’s AU$199 😂
Not having to use two hands is more convenient 🤷♂️Shouldn't be a problem for two-handed people. What do these people do with their Macs and iPads?
Gee, people are willing to throw out $xxx for the supposedly convenience of an inductive charger, but they'll cry when it comes to pay $0.99 for iCloud storage.
Yeah, reminds of Wall-E.Not having to use two hands is more convenient 🤷♂️
How is this getting ridiculous?
The 20 W brick lets a regular individual magsafe charger charge your phone at 15 W.
add an Apple Watch puck taking some of that juice, and it’s not gonna get the full 15 W on the other side. This is just obvious stuff

Because it undermines the fact I want to charge my phone not letting it cook on a plate. Wireless charging needs to improve or leave the market. My father's Android charges so ridiculously fast out of the box. Apple is falling behind rapidly on this front. How is this getting ridiculous?

You can already get the $79 magnetic dock for the watch, but if you also want to charge your phone at the same time, I think it’ll be higher, since that’s $39 as a phone-only charger.Magsafe Duo is a great concept by design, it’s literally the only Magsafe accessory I would buy. It’s just priced way too high, and apparent limitations make it even worse purchase. More like Apple sells us a beta testing product at a full price.
