I would also ad the Mac Pro wheels on the list. 700$ for something that will slide away your 10.000$ computer if small imperfection or puff of air will make it roll alway ?

Any other company that designs their products that way like would be laughed off of the market. Fortunately, my wireless Logitech G915 TKL keyboard can be charged via wired without flipping it over and making it useless while charging.
I would but the G915 wireless In a heartbeat if they replaced that horrible microUSB port for USB C as I try to only have USB c ports at home now for any accessory I buy.

Will replace my MX master 2s with the G502 and G915 LIGHTSPEED the second they have usb c

And newest Apple TV 4K remote is fantastic, best remote we’ve ever had.
Yeah I love almost everything about it except for the lack of the accelerometer (I think that’s the right term). The original Siri remote could be used for games, for example as a steering wheel in a racing game. Now, with young boys, they can’t use most of the games with a newer remote. It’s the one thing that’s wrong with the new remote. Everything else is good.

It's the tech blogs that aren't doing the thinking. The AirPods Max case provides quick access and easy charging/sleeping for the headphones. That's what the design was for. Doing the standard zippered case would allow you to "throw them in a bag", but wouldn't provide any other function.
too much thinking
form follows…
stupid design

I bought the 2013 Mac Pro when it came out. I used it for 5 years and never had a complaint about it. I upgraded both the storage and the RAM myself for not a lot of money. It's a shame the graphics cards weren't upgradeable, because I might still be using the machine today if they were. It was surprisingly powerful and really quiet. I never understood the hate.

Everyone has personal preferences, but the point is that the "throw in the bag" design of enclosure has its own shortcomings. I've also seen people point out that many of the "throw in the bag" designs use metal zippers which can scratch the headphones inside the case.

The Sony and Bose models we had here that play in the same price range have an inner lip over the zipper if I remember correctly. Point is plenty of these headphones are used while travelling hence having half the product completely exposed and the other half made of that awful synthetic material that we have come to hate on iPad cases already due to its lack of durability and attraction to fingerprints isn’t pleasing if you have the most expensive product in the comparison bracket.
Absolutely personal preference but this is the lacklustre first generation HomePod approach all over again. Some great ideas, then fallen asleep at the wheel.

I recently bought the backlit Satechi Slim X3 Bluetooth keyboard that has USB C. It can pair with four different devices; and it can be used as a wired keyboard as well - you can just leave the charging cable plugged in and not bother pairing it.

I have a 1st generation Magic Mouse and I love it. I have two pairs of rechargeable batteries that I just swap as needed. I’ve been using the same two pairs of rechargeable batteries for eight years.

Same here, at least I just pop in whatever AA's are lying around, of which I have many, mostly rechargeable. Goes for weeks, sometimes months on end on a set.

Probably due to focus on Multi-Touch in Apple's operating systems.

And the fact that the scroll ball sucked up dirt and became inaccurate rather quickly. But yes, the touch gestures solved that problem elegantly.

To all of you hypocrite saying you like the Magic Mouse and charging it is a non-issue. You need to get better lying… ? it’s a complete failure when it’s completely inoperable due to charging. I can’t think of a single other product that has that issue aside from Apple Pencil 1.
I switched to the Logitech MX Master for Mac and surprise, it has a USB C port on the front of the mouse to use while charging as a corded mouse.

There’s a conspiracy (whether it’s true or not idk) that Apple forced people to buy two mice by way of making it inoperable while charging. They figured if you’re already buying an overpriced mouse then chances are you have money for another.

I suppose the awful user interface of Pages is too old to be in this article.

Speaking of old. Most were too young or weren't born yet to know Woz was the sensible engineer while Jobs was the marketer who wanted ventless Apple II for aesthetics which caused overheating so end users had to mutilate and drill hole in their device for vents or fan. Cook is even worse and wants to glue literally everything down to take away hardware and software freedom to squeeze more profit.

One other thing for the list is the absence of indicator lights to show a device is charing; my new M1 Air, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard. What if you plug them into a faulty outlet or adapter? How hard could it have been to put a little light, somewhere on all the devices mentioned. At least an iPhone's screen lights up when you plug it in to charge and a quick tap of the screen will later reveal the state of charge.

The menu bar being on the side rather than the top is something I wish office would copy. Current laptops give me too little vertical space and too much horizontal space and I wish more apps would be designed with this constraint in mind.

Love my Mac Pro and the Siri remote. The Touch Bar is the thing that I’ve hated the most in actual use… that head phones case too. Ugh

Ive no idea who we could blame ;)

It's also strange how things have recently improved. Ive wondered if something has changed ;)

I didn't mind the Apple TV Remote. The new one is better, but the old one served it's purpose. Now what should have been on here was the original Homepod. It just looks so bulky and it should have been smaller and maybe wider (Yes I know you have the mini but that came out later). Also, you really can't do anything with the homepod device itself and I barely use Siri.
