I've been saying this in numerous threads and all I've gotten was votes down. We'd all be excited for a redesigned iPhone 5, but, you know, sorry to be a realist:
- Apple's business model is to discount the prior generation iPhones and make them the low-end offering.
Therefore, they will be offering the iPhone 4 as this year's low-end.
- Apple reserves the "S" suffix for internally IMPROVED devices, not for new low end models.
Meaning, people who suggested that the iPhone 4S would be a new low end offering are completely out of their minds. If anything, Apple would have released a new iPhone 5 along with the current iPhone 4 as a low-end model.
- Apple is not good at keeping new products entirely under wraps.
We are a week away. There has been no valid evidence of an iPhone 5.
Bottom line, stop assuming what Apple is going to do without taking their history and currently reality into account. Thank you.
