Apple is giving users who ordered the M4 Mac mini a free upgrade to the new M5 Pro or M6 models. Haven't heard anything yet about the Studio though.

At these prices, I guess my M4 mini with a 2 TB SSD from AliExpress is gonna have to last me a decade. Ridiculous that for $2499 the base studio still comes with a measly 512gb. Throw us a fricken bone here Apple!

I am so very appreciative of the M1 MacBook Pro Max with 8TB I purchased "nearly new refurbished" from Ebay last year, as my "all in one with enough storage to store everything important to me on one device." These prices are nuts nowadays. 15 years ago Apple Macs felt like a high-priced splurge, then prices for the past 2 to 7 years seemed quite reasonable for the most part (not including RAM) but now Macs have headed back to the high-priced splurge territory!

15 years?? I remember getting catalogs in the late 80s/early 90s from EDU places.. Those "low cost" LC pizza boxes still started at almost $3K even back then. Even the Apple IIe/IIc was pretty ridiculous, but at the time I guess there wasn't anything to compare it to really unless you had an IBM heh.
