Anyone figure out how to get the live activity to start using this app? I have no idea how to get it started.
The problem here is that if it’s like Apple’s other apps, you’ll be waiting a long time for updates. Like once per year when the new iOS version comes out.I downloaded it, but man, there are so many basic Apple things missing from the app right now. I'll keep it installed and hope for some updates down the road.
Step 4: release it in America without including motor sports or NFL

As usual, doesn’t have my country. The UK is more than just England btw. Uninstalled right away.
Or curling
FYI, the top male tennis player has made over $150M in prize money in his career. Sports like tennis and golf are not super niche sports no one cares about. In this case they’re just sports Eddy Cue doesn’t care about hence why they’re not included in the this crappy app.Or water polo
Step 2.5: Realize that there are lots of leagues, clubs and fans outside the "major" ones and add them.Step 1: make a new sports tracking app
Step 2: include all the major european football leagues
Step 3: don't bother releasing it in Europe
👌
Exactly. Completely useless as it stands. Cricket? Lower league English football? Japanese baseball? Ski jumping (yes, I know...).Missing a lot of teams and leagues at the moment...
Yes, but their Mail and Calendar apps are quite good.....You could make that argument about nearly anything. "Oh, there are email apps...there are calendar apps...why would Apple do anything?" This is clearly a strategy about moving more into sports coverage. Rumor was they were bidding for NFL Sunday Ticket before Google won it. They clearly see monetization here.
OVERdesigned?! It's so simple it doesn't actually include a lot of sports or teams which real sports fans would want to follow.Haha. When Eddy, or any Apple exec, goes out of their way to say something like this, you know the app must have some issues with UI complexity. Sounds like it's been over-designed.
I’m sure they’ll add more sports as they go along.FYI, the top male tennis player has made over $150M in prize money in his career. Or thought about adding them to a “sports” app at the start.I’m sure they’ll add more sports as they go along.
100% With the F1 season about to start, that's what I wantGood start, but would be nice to get some motorsports in the future.
This a logi we're too dumb as a spieces to understand 🥲Step 1: make a new sports tracking app
Step 2: include all the major european football leagues

Doesn’t matter. How do you not have the most popular sport in the US as a category. It’s half baked. If you read the article, it's made quite clear those will be added. NFL is not in season, so the fact it doesn't have games listed isn't a big deal. This isn't supposed to be ESPN, with storylines, more about checking scores and standings and getting out.
