Now this is a perspective I didn't think of and I totally agree.

Maybe you would agree $10 for such a short game seems lacking. It may be a great game, but it's not priced right.

I'll change my opinion should they add content on the regular, but who knows - maybe they will just keep changing $10 new content
$10 for a Shigeru Miyamoto designed game is a bargain, but I am a Nintendo fanboy.

I'd go as far as to say there are few games worse than this. Imagine this were not using the Mario sprite - this would be a classic un-noticed 2-3 star game. If that.
Best game I’ve ever played on the iPhone by far.

Very deserved #1 top grossing app and all the haters can just choke on their own tears ;)

There is only 19 levels and they are about 1 minute apiece. If you don't go for the coins, you can beat em on 2 tries average. That's 38 minutes, and I lined up an hour early for Rogue One.
well, there are actually 24 levels...and three for each one of those if you count the 3 different coins. so, it's more like 72 unique levels to beat. you haven't completed the game yet. that's good news though, because now you get to actually challenge yourself. enjoy! :)

Why would you call a random person on the internet a liar? I made a mistake counting the levels. I forgot the boss levels, also there is 2 boss levels at the end.

when did i say "liar"...i was just correcting. i'm sure it was an honest mistake, that's all. i like when people correct me when i'm wrong. i prefer to be right whenever possible.

Apple Fails one mo gain, and here you are apologizing for it. Just like clockwork. Like a born follower.
If you were a REAL gamer you'd be swatting Tim's already.

And the fail you need most worry about is either your spelling, grammar or ability to type.

Can't believe people spent $10 on this game when there are better games with more depth, better graphics, that are actually free[/QUOTE

What games are you playing? I'm always looking for an entertaining game to play here and there. Free is always a plus too.

Modern Combat 3,4 are excellent FPS with stellar graphics. Not $10.
Vain Glory is an excellent Moba (and my first Moba) if you like WoW, you'll probably like this
Speaking of WoW there are a handful of MMO's on the app store as well.

While games like Mario, aa, and the rest of these mini games while fun don't really offer much substance

Really? This was worth publishing a whole story about? I signed up to be notified too, but only in case I forgot about it. But I didn't. I went to the app store on the 15th and downloaded it. I got the notification about a day later. Anyone who is whining about this needs to get a life.

Far too late? This makes it sound like someone died...

It's a freaking game release that people didn't get immediately. First world problems, indeed.

I think the fundamental misunderstanding here is that some people think "notify me when it's released" means instantaneously at the moment of release, and some people think it means remind them because they have better things to do over the next few months than hit refresh. For the later group it was just fine, for the former they were probably so hyped up they didn't need a notification anyway-- if anything it was probably just annoying to receive it while they were busy playing.

It makes sense to stage the delivery to have some mercy on their servers, but perhaps the better way to do that would have been to allow pre-orders and have it auto download the day before global release.

Super Monkey Ball was pretty good!
Devil May Cry was pretty decent!
Streetfighter vs Tekken was very good!

Lots of great games on the iPhone until something changed, all these games disappeared and we ended up with stupid IAP games which all look like Clash of the Clans!

:(

So, it's great to get a proper game again! (and even better, it's Mario)

Thanks. I'll have to check those out. The last one I was playing that I liked a lot was Hero Academy. Was a great turn based game but they sadly abandoned it. I had sice lost interest in a lot of games because of all the in app purchases. Quite annoying to me. I'd rather pay an up front price instead of people buying their way to the top in advancement.
