I still think they should have known. The spent 90 seconds explaining how the Jet Black was made in the first video we ever saw of the phone. That alone is telling to where they think most of the orders are gonna go.
I think everyone that got screwed with the Apple Upgrade program should email Tim Cook, tcook@apple.com...I have never emailed apple for anything, but this is so disrespectful that it can not be ignored...to not allow us to reserve an iPhone through the program that was meant to actually do that, is CRAZY!!I got a 128 reserved from it, but I'm new to the program. It looks like everyone that signed up last year got the short end this year

Same here. Very disappointing. Since we have to do this in store, are we supposed to check every day online?
So much for a simple iPhone upgrade. Yeah so do you think we're supposed to keep checking back? Or do we just go to the store next Friday? Also what is up with some stores grayed out with "no reservations available"?
Same thing was happening to me on the Verizon site, seems like the 7 is still good in supply than the 7+. Almost got the 7 in jet black because its a month before the 7+. But I really want the camera on the + so hopefully its worth the wait.Ordered 128GB Black 7+ through Verizon, estimated delivery 9/23. Verizon's website kept screwing up, when I would click on order it would make me log in (when I was already logged into my account) and after I would log in again it would send me to a page for pre-ordering devices, but no devices were available. After backing out and trying a few times it finally went through to where I could order the phone, but by then deliver was 9/23. Although it sounds like it may have started at 9/23 from the beginning for the black phones.
I was able to get into the Apple Store first, and had the same phone ready to order on there for 9/16 deliver but it kept asking me for my Verizon billing password. I tried every Verizon password I could think of and none of them went through. Then after a few attemps it said I was locked out for 60 minutes. Evidently I am going to have to call Verizon's customer support line and figure out what the heck that password is (I am the primary account holder).
For my 7Plus it says "Delivers Oct 4 - Oct 10 by Standard Shipping" is there anyway to change this pre-order to a store pickup later on down the road? (I didn't see any options for this while ordering, store pickup said unavailable)
